Proverbs 1:5 (NKJV)
” A wise man will hear, and will increase learning, and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.”
Learning never ends. Our opening text today shows us that a wise man is constantly listening to learn, and adhering to wise counsel. Thus, it is unwise for one to come to a place where he thinks he knows all or has seen it all.
The right attitude towards learning includes curiosity, openness, and a hunger for improvement. In other words, you must have a deep-seated desire to grow beyond where you are, which will lead you into having a genuine interest in understanding how things work. Much of this process may not even happen in the four walls of a school, but as you go about your daily activities, your mind will magnet information as you observe the people and happenings around you.
Another important way to learn is by reading. On the pages of a book, you will be exposed to both the inspiration and experience of the author. When reading the Bible, for instance, you would also gain access to the counsel of God about different areas of your life, career or business. This is priceless.
Overall, adopt the disposition of a ready learner as you step out every day. Set your mind on learning something new about each area of your life, career, or business daily, and learn to keep track of such knowledge as you apply them in your life. This is another skill to master on your journey to success.

“Curiosity, openness and a hunger for improvement”. When you are curious, you observe things in your environment, nothing gets past you. When you are open, you are able to absorb new ideas and opinions. And when you have a hunger for improvement, you’ll be quick to adapt new ideas that make you better.
It all boils down to the mindset, the way you think. What constant learning does is, it opens you up to improvement, it puts you on a pedestal where you can compete because you are well informed. These are skills necessary if we want to improve the quality of life.
We can then say, a person who doesn’t stop learning is one who is constantly improving the quality of their life.
