Scriptural Text:Philippians 3:13
โBrethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are beforeโ.
In a relay, the athlete who is to receive the baton neither stops nor goes backward to receive it. Instead, he keeps moving forward steadily until the baton is within his grip. Then, he accelerates. Much in the same manner, regardless of what is behind you, it is imperative that you keep moving forward and never backward.
The reason some persons never achieve their goals is because they keep considering their mistakes or errors of the past. Some others bask in the glory of the past, so much that they have lost the drive for greater things. They have become what I call โlocal championsโ.
No matter how beautiful or otherwise the past might have been, the future will always be brighter; such is the hope we have in Christ Jesus (Col 1:27). While it is important to learn from the past, we ought to keep our gaze on the future. As long as the center of your thoughts is the past and not the future, you may not make meaningful progress.
Therefore, consider what in your past has stolen your drive to push forward. Now, is the time to divorce such. Your past is past; it is time to look ahead and pursue the glorious future God has for you this year. The Holy Spirit is with you to help you.

What an encouraging topic this is! I must avoid concentrating on what has happened in my past to ensure that it does not affect my future in a negative way. While it is important to learn from the past, I must not let the past make me perform less than I should today. K from LAGOS

Just the way I won’t live in a building that has burned down in a fire just because it used to be my house, that’s the same way I won’t live in my past because of what happened or didn’t happen.

Sometimes I feel like some peopleโs past is the stealer of their tomorrow because many people who have bad experiences in the past and still dwelling in their experiences thereby making them dragging.
I once have a friend at a young age I mean around 5 years of age has issues with guys right from when she was young making it difficult for her to relate guys now while growing and still finding difficult till date many guys that I know that are good try to help her but she isnโt willing and said she wasnโt asking help Meanwhile she broken needing to talk to someone but shielding herself with lies of the enemy

I choose to deliberately look away from the past, the future ahead is brighter as the bible said the latter is better than the formerโฆ so i match forward and strive to be in constant alignment with the holy ghost. Glory to God.
