Revelation 3:16-17 (KJV) – “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”
Complacency is the quiet enemy that arrives in blessing and steals the next shift before you realise it is gone. The moment you feel you have arrived is the moment you are in the most spiritual danger. God is always moving forward and He calls you to move with Him, not settle where He has already been.
A lukewarm heart cannot receive the shifts of a passionate God. When your fire for God cools in the middle of abundance, your spiritual sensitivity begins to shut down layer by layer. You stop hearing clearly, stop pressing intentionally, and stop receiving the upgrades that require spiritual hunger to unlock.
Today, repent of every area of spiritual coolness and ask God to ignite fresh fire in your heart. Let your season of abundance create a deeper hunger for more of God rather than a satisfaction with what you already have. A burning heart in a blessed life is the most powerful combination God can work through.
Hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:
I decree that every spirit of lukewarmness is expelled from your life right now! Your passion for God is increasing, and your hunger is sharper than it has ever been. The best of your shifts is still ahead of you, in Jesus’ name!
Section 2—Praying the Promises:
Start-Up Prayer:
Father, set me on fire again today. Let my season of blessing produce a deeper hunger for You and not a satisfaction that cools my pursuit. I choose burning passion over comfortable contentment, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Nation Focus: Senegal
Senegal, on the western tip of Africa, is a nation of approximately 17 million people renowned for its democratic stability and peaceful coexistence. Around 95% of the population identifies as Muslim, with powerful Sufi brotherhoods deeply embedded in national culture and politics. Christians make up roughly 4% to 5%, and evangelical Christianity is growing slowly against significant cultural barriers. Prayer, long-term relationship building, and community service are the key strategies missionaries and local believers use to see lasting Kingdom fruit.
Prayer for a Nation:
Lord, protect and multiply the underground believers in Senegal who face family pressure and social rejection for their faith. Strengthen them, connect them, and let their testimonies ignite a wildfire of salvation in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Leaders:
Lord, let the leaders of Senegal see the fruit of the Gospel in the lives of believers around them. Let the transformation produced by Christ be so evident that it shifts their perception and opens doors for greater Kingdom access in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Israel:
Father, let the Church in Senegal and across West Africa rise up in intercession for Israel. Let African believers understand the significance of standing with God’s covenant people and let their prayers become a shield over Jerusalem in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Unity in the Church:
Lord, heal every wound of betrayal or competition between leaders in the Body of Christ in Senegal. Let forgiveness flow freely and let restored relationships become the foundation for a new season of Kingdom advance in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Souls/Revival:
Lord, let every Senegalese believer in the diaspora become a missionary to their homeland. Use their education, their networks, and their passion to open doors for the Gospel that have been shut for decades in Jesus’ name.
