Audio Version
Genesis 24:34-35 (KJV): “And he said, I am Abraham’s servant. And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.”
God’s intention for His covenant people is to have financial might. Abraham was not merely comfortable; he was greatly blessed in every category of wealth that his world recognised. The God who blessed Abraham has not changed, and the covenant through which Abraham was blessed is the same covenant that has been extended to you through Jesus Christ. Financial prevailing is not a worldly aspiration for the believer; it is a covenant right.
Prevailing in your finances requires both the blessing of God and the wisdom to steward what He releases. The blessing creates the increase, but wisdom determines how far that increase goes and how long it lasts. God wants to give you not only the financial breakthrough but the financial wisdom that sustains it, multiplies it, and positions you to be a blessing to others.
Today, ask God for the wisdom to take your finances to another level. Trust His blessing to create the increase and commit to stewarding whatever He releases with the discipline and wisdom that He provides. Your financial might is not dependent on the economy of this world; but it is dependent on the blessing of the LORD.
Hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:
I decree that the LORD is blessing you greatly in your finances right now and you are becoming great! Every financial barrier that has resisted your progress is yielding to the covenant blessing on your life. You are prevailing in your finances, in Jesus’ name!
Section 2—Praying the Promises:
Start-Up Prayer:
Father, I thank You that Your covenant blessing is upon my life and my finances. I declare that the LORD blesses me greatly and I become great. I receive divine wisdom to take my finances to another level and I commit to stewarding every financial blessing with discipline, generosity, and gratitude. I prevail in my finances by the blessing of the LORD, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Nation Focus: Ethiopia
Ethiopia is one of the oldest nations in the world and one of the fastest-growing Christian populations on the African continent, with Christians comprising approximately 62% of the population, predominantly Ethiopian Orthodox in tradition, alongside a rapidly growing evangelical movement. The nation has a deep biblical heritage, being referenced in Scripture and home to one of the earliest Christian communities in the world. Ethiopia faces significant challenges including internal ethnic conflict, border disputes, a humanitarian crisis in some regions, and the pressure of Islamic expansion in the Horn of Africa. Yet the Church in Ethiopia is vibrant, prayerful, and growing, with a deep tradition of fasting and intercession.
Prayer for a Nation:
Father, let the financial blessing of the covenant rest upon Ethiopia. Let the enormous natural and human resources of this nation be released for the flourishing of its people and let the Church lead the way in demonstrating faithful financial stewardship and Kingdom generosity in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Leaders:
Father, let the leaders of Ethiopia govern the nation’s finances with wisdom, transparency, and a commitment to the welfare of all the people. Let corruption be exposed and dismantled and let a culture of financial integrity take root in the corridors of power in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Israel:
Father, let the financial blessing that You have placed upon Israel be a testimony to the nations of the faithfulness of Your covenant. Let the prosperity of Israel draw the nations to seek the God who blesses His covenant people in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Unity in the Church:
Father, let the Church in our cities be known for financial generosity and integrity. Let our giving to one another and to our communities be a demonstration of the Kingdom economy and let the financial blessing on the Church become a resource for reaching the lost in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Souls/Revival:
Father, let the financial testimonies of believers in our communities become a witness to the goodness of God. Let the blessing that is evident on the lives of those who honour You draw the curious and the seeking to ask about the God they serve, and let those conversations lead to salvation in Jesus’ name.
