Audio Version
Matthew 4:19 (KJV) “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
The order of the Kingdom is “Follow” then “Make.” Many people in life want the “making”—the success, the transformation, and the result—without the process of “following.” Following Jesus is the technical process by which our character is refined and our capacity is increased. Just as a student must stay in class to learn, a believer must stay in Christ’s company to be made into the person God has called them to be.
To follow Jesus is a call to intentional alignment. It requires a willingness to “gird up your loins” and remove every weight, old habit, and distraction that could hinder your progress. You cannot follow Him and stay where you are; following implies movement, change, and the abandonment of your own methods in Favor of His. When you follow, you are not merely walking behind Him; you are receiving a supernatural endowment that empowers you to accomplish tasks far beyond your natural capacity.
Today, make a conscious effort to recognize that you do not have to struggle on your own. When you follow Jesus, the responsibility for your transformation shifts from your strength to His power. As you go about your career, ministry, and daily activities, intentionally commit to staying in step with Him. Trust that as you follow, the “making” process is happening automatically, positioning you to arrive at your goals with supernatural ease and in good time.
Hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:
I declare that as you follow Christ, His hand is released upon you for speed and transformation! I decree that you will not be delayed, but you will walk in light, momentum, and supernatural acceleration as He makes you into a vessel of honour for His glory!
