β¦speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
Some persons only speak the truth when it will benefit them. When under pressure, they quickly change their minds and distort the truth because it is seemingly convenient. But, a person of integrity is always truthful irrespective of the consequences.
This is because a lie creates falsehood and withholds reality, which is harmful to the recipient because, it presents them with a distortion of reality. In fact, the Bible calls this wickedness (Prov. 29:12).
Speaking the truth on the other hand, is liberating (John 8:32), and it helps the listener to take the appropriate action based on the information passed across.
Also, It could be rather exhausting to maintain a lie, because though it may seem like an easy way out of a difficult situation, lying will require you to tell another in order to cover up. It is also one of the quickest ways to destroy your reputation.
Therefore, when you are faced with a difficult situation today, resolve to maintain your integrity and speak the truth regardless, remembering that a man of truth will find favour before God and his fellow men.

One of the biggest mistake in life is lying to get out of trouble. One may feel smart at some point that they eluded trouble because they were able to tell a lie, however if you really check deep within, an unrest will be created that will cause discomfort which if asked to make a choice next time, one will prefer the trouble than to tell the lie.
The most liberating lifestyle is the one of truth and nothing else. If you can maintain that lifestyle, your value will increase no doubt before the world and you will experience FREEDOM.

Today’s devotion is just so explicit…telling lies would always hamper on ones integrity and it’s the fastest way to destroy your reputation even though it seems convenient at the time..integrity is a very important aspect of every one’s lives as a man of truth would always find favour before God and before man.
This is just spot on. Yesterday I had a client that asked for my expertise and service for a particular discipline and I could tell that she really hoped I was qualified enough to give her what she wanted but I didn’t, instead I directed her to a colleague of mine who specializes in that same field. She was surprised but I told her that I wouldn’t take on a job that I knew quite well that I am not qualified for just because I wanted the money. She laughed but I could also tell that she was impressed by my honesty.
Nothing stinks more than someone lying about their qualifications and experiences to a client, it destroys your reputation and news of failure tends to spread faster than success. It is just the world we live in. So this message couldn’t have come at a better time than now.

The truth shall set you free. Lies hold us in bondage. Whatβs more, we gave to keep those lies in memory in order not to forget the lie we told. What a waste of time and energy. Instead, letβs speak the truth and free ourselves of the web of lies.

Indeed, telling the truth is liberating and it it tedious to maintain a lie. Today’s devotional even buttresses on important themes in last week’s Mystery Class with the prophet of God. I resolve to tell the truth always and I receive the grace to do so.
Indeed ,truth shall set us free, a lie is only a gateway to telling more lies.

It’s always a saying that when you tell one lie, you would have to tell many more lies to cover up. Truth is always bitter and hard to come by but it saves a multitude, it gives you so much freedom in your heart and the courage to forge ahead holding no baggage with you. Lord help us to tell the truth always without fear and favour.

Speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ, This is because a lie creates falsehood and withholds reality, All these things, words they are not just another church preaching if followed will put you ahead of most people in the world not just by money or material things but you will know when you get there because at that point you can’t even deceive yourself. And if you’re finding it hard to stop lying here a better lesson I learnt “start to stop lying”. This has been most wonderful and as always looking forward to tomorrow’s topic.

I learnt the art of telling the truth in my primary school days from an incident that happened at home. I can say that telling the truth has made me a person of integrity. I don’t struggle to make people believe me, they just do. The Glory belongs to Jesus not me π
