Philippians 2:4 (NKJV).
“Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”
Often times, we are consumed by the pursuit of our own dreams and the demands of our personal goals, so much that we take no thought for the needs of the people in our lives.
Contrary to this, our opening text today instructs us to be conscious of others even as we pursue our own goals.
This places a responsibility on us to invest in the well-being of the people God has placed in our lives, helping them to surmount the challenges on their way to success.
Unfortunately, many who ignored this wisdom have missed out on opportunities that could have led to their prosperity. By failing to observe the pressing needs of others, some have lost out on avenues to create products and services that can benefit a wider audience. Some others have missed out on the opportunity to help persons in need and thereby earn God’s favour (Prov. 19:17).
Therefore, become sensitive and pay attention to the needs of those that God brings your way, and dedicate yourself to ensuring that they make progress in their own lives, even as you pursue your own goals.

We can become so preoccupied with our many activities that we lose sight of our family and friends. I know I do it, and I’ve learned that I need to schedule time in my week to check in on the people who care for me, as well as those who care for me.
I’ve learned through the years that I need to be able to balance all elements of my life, from work to family to hobbies to friends, because you never know when someone you care about needs to be saved or when they need directions from one of God’s disciples.

Today’s Devotional brings me to the understanding that It is my responsibility to invest in the well-being of people God has placed around me and help them overcome challenges. By doing so, I may discover opportunities for my own success and earn God’s favor.

The thought of leaving these friends behind is sad to say the least, but last week I challenged myself to commit more wholeheartedly to maintaining these new relationships long-distance. Exactly how to do that is a challenge in and of itself. Thankfully, I have friends and family who have shown me what love and care looks like from both near and far.

When I take a moment to think about it, this scripture to me highlights the necessity of having capacity to carry and help others whilst also have a good grasp on your own life. The scripture says, “Also on the thing of others”.
I feel like it’s a call to increase not
Just in physical/financial capacity but in spiritual capacity as well. Are you able to carry someone’s burden in the spirit before you can even pay for their bills?
Sometimes our eyes are so locked in and trained on our own situation that we aren’t even aware of those around us who may need us. Or your aware of the work it will take and you’re just lazy. There are many reasons a to why.
Lord give me the grace to not be selfish and self absorbed to the point where I do not Care about the spiritual and physical needs of Others. Lord I pray for a desire and the strength to grow in capacity and depth to better carry those you have brought into my life.

Going through serial challenges can really preoccupy one’s mind therefore misrepresent one. More often than not, in some people’s case, it is not the issue of compassion but not having enough to help as you should per time. For example, some days ago, I met this lady with a baby (a cleaner in my church) who was seriously sick, some of her colleagues confronted her why was she sleeping on duty. Looking at her I knew that wasn’t acting, she was srsly down with fever, so I approached her and found out she hadn’t taken any medication so I told her I was going to get her some medicine and food. On my way to the pharmacy I got a call from a family member to send my share of a family giving that we all agreed on, that the check we gave in respect to that was due that day, that she forgot to remind me some days before. The money I had in my account was just the exact amount and if I gave everything I wouldn’t have any cash to get the drug and food for the lady, meanwhile I was going to the island that morning, at the end I could only get the drug and send 98% of the giving, infact had to support my tfare to the island.
Recently I’ve had cases of people needing financial assistance from me but I couldn’t help and each time it happened it aches my heart and leave me feeling down.
Lord thou who gives bread to eat and seed to the sower, cause me to have abundantly so I can help to my heart desires when the need arises.

My God, this is so spot on, we actually tend to go here and there to do our own thing, business, how to fend for ourselves and Al of that , without out putting the people God has placed in our life’s into consideration, as far as we good , all other person matters not. Have Mercy Lord.

Sometimes, people feel that when they help people around them maybe financially, they are going to go bankrupt or when they assist someone in business theirs is going to crumble or when they share their knowledge with their fellow class mate, they’re going to come out with better result than them.
No on falls by helping others. For every act of goodness shall be rewarded accordingly by our Father in heaven.
We have become so occupied with our own pursuit that we forget about the people around us. Helping others grow both physical and spiritually.
Sometimes we even forget to check on the good people around us.

As we enjoy God’s favour upon our lives, it’s important to acknowledge that we are blessed to be a blessing to others.
As such, not demonstrating this aspect of divine calling on us ,limits our influence and fulfilment as God’s children.

This is what plays out a 100% of the time. In a chase to bring meaning out of life you forget there are others tied to you. We do our best for our selves but the barest minimum for others.
