RELY ON GOD’S STRENGTH
📖Psalm 20:7
“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”
In times of trouble or uncertainty, it’s human to want to rely on our own abilities, resources, or connections to get through. Many people place their trust in the strength of their finances, the security of their jobs, or the influence of their relationships. However, relying solely on human efforts often leads to frustration and disappointments as these things are unstable and temporary.
The truth is, God’s strength surpasses anything we can muster on our own. Our opening text reminds us that while others may depend on worldly connections, we as believers are called to place our trust in the Lord; His strength is perfect and unfailing. When we shift our reliance from our abilities to God’s all-sufficient power, we tap into a source of strength that never runs out.
Today, choose to rely fully on God’s strength in every situation. Whether you’re faced with a personal challenge, a difficult decision, or a season of uncertainty, remember that God is able to carry you through. Spend time in prayer, surrendering your cares to Him, and allow His strength to be made perfect in your weakness. Glory to God!
START-UP PRAYER:
Father, I ask for grace to rely on You and not on my own abilities no matter what I face in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
BELARUS
The majority of Belarusians belong to the Orthodox Church with large Catholic and non-religious segments, yet the Orthodox Church is very ritualistic, and there is high nominalism among those who attend. Religion was outlawed and oppressed during the Soviet era, and this persecution still continues. A 2002 law severely limited religious freedoms by outlawing worship meetings in homes, congregations of less than 20 individuals, new religious schools, and the circulation of religious literature not approved by the state. It also hindered churches’ ability to buy or rent land. Yet even in this hostile environment of persecution, more and more people claim to be followers of Jesus.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION:
Father ,in the name of Jesus, we pray for effective teaching ministries to flood the nation that will open up the people to the light of God’s word and way of Christ in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you give unto the leaders of this nation the courage to make policies that reverses the occurrence and impact of any undue exploitation in the land, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we ask that you turn the hearts of the people of Israel to trust in the name of the Lord for deliverance—not in the “chariots and horses” of their military might in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH:
Father, we ask that You will take away from the church, unhealthy competition and help us to follow you completely in all holiness and righteousness, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you grant unto the unsaved souls a spirit of discernment to distinguish truth from falsehood in Jesus Name.
