Audio Version
Ezra 7:6 (KJV): “This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.”
When the hand of God rests upon your life, you accomplish what human ability alone could never achieve. It opens doors that qualifications cannot unlock, stirs hearts that had no reason to favour you, and releases opportunities and resources far beyond your natural reach. The hand of God elevates ordinary efforts into extraordinary outcomes. It is the divine advantage that turns struggle into success, limitation into possibility, and striving into prevailing.
The hand of God does more than create opportunities; it empowers you to sustain and maximize them. It gives wisdom beyond experience, strength beyond human capacity, and courage to overcome obstacles that would otherwise seem impossible. Under the influence of God’s hand, setbacks become stepping stones, opposition becomes a catalyst for promotion, and challenges become platforms for His glory. When God places His hand upon a person, their life becomes evidence that divine favour can accomplish what human effort alone never could.
Today, ask God to let His hand rest upon every situation you are trusting Him for. Walk into every meeting and every opportunity knowing that the hand of God has gone before you. What His hand touches prevails, and His hand is upon your life today. Trust Him to do what no human effort can accomplish and to bring to pass what only His power can make possible.
Hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:
I decree that the hand of the LORD is upon you today and every door you need opened is being granted to you! The same hand that moved a king on behalf of Ezra is moving decision-makers on your behalf right now. Your promotion is being delivered by the hand of God, in Jesus’ name!
Section 2—Praying the Promises:
Start-Up Prayer:
Father, I thank You because Your hand is upon my life. I declare that the hand of the LORD my God goes before me today and causes every king, every decision-maker, and every gatekeeper to grant my request. My promotion is not by my own arm; it is by the hand of God upon me. I receive everything You have ordained for me in this season, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Nation Focus: South Sudan
South Sudan, the world’s youngest nation having gained independence in 2011, has a population of approximately 11 million people. Christians make up roughly 60% of the population, with traditional African religions comprising much of the remainder. Despite its Christian majority, the nation has been torn by devastating civil conflict, ethnic violence, extreme poverty, and a humanitarian crisis that has displaced millions. The Church in South Sudan carries enormous potential as a force for peace, reconciliation, and national rebuilding, making it one of the most strategic and needy mission fields on the continent.
Prayer for a Nation:
Father, let Your hand move upon South Sudan and bring order out of the chaos that human governance has failed to resolve. Let Your hand position righteous men and women in places of influence and let the nation begin to experience the blessing that only Your hand can deliver in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Leaders:
Father, let the hand of God rest upon every peace negotiator and humanitarian worker in South Sudan. Let their efforts be amplified by Your hand and let breakthroughs come that human effort alone could never have produced in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Israel:
Father, let Your hand be clearly seen in the preservation and protection of Israel. Let every nation witness the evidence of Your hand upon Your covenant people and let that witness provoke many to seek the God of Israel in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Unity in the Church:
Father, let Your hand draw the churches in our cities together in a unity that reflects Your purpose for this season. Let the hand of God be seen in the partnerships, the joint ventures, and the shared Kingdom projects that emerge from this season of unity in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Souls/Revival:
Father, let Your hand reach into the lives of the lost in our communities this week. Let Your hand move circumstances, create divine appointments, and position believers in the right place at the right time to reach souls that are ready to be saved in Jesus’ name.
