“Scriptural Text:
2Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
” For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.”
Fear is a spirit that infests the atmosphere or the human mind, propagating uncertainty about the outcome of life. It is a spirit that comes with every form of negativity, ranging from negative thoughts or emotions to negative words, which consequently gives room to various attacks of the devil.
Just as our opening text confirms, fear does not come from God, rather, it is a tool of the adversary which he deploys as a strategy to gain access into a man’s heart. Like a crack in the wall, fear creates access for the arrows of the enemy to penetrate, manifesting as sicknesses, losses, setbacks etc.
However, in place of fear, God already gave us the power to use His Word, and love which is demonstrated in His Word, plus a sound mind, which enables us to assimilate and activate His Word in our lives. Thus, there is no reason to be uncertain about the outcome of our lives.
God has already defined what our lives should be through the numerous promises of life, health, provision, protection, etc. which we find in His Word. By meditating on these promises, we can eliminate all uncertainties, as we can count on Him to keep His promises because He is faithful (Heb. 10:23).
Therefore, there is no reason to entertain uncertainty in your life. Resist the spirit of fear by activating the power of God’s Word in your life today. This is your transportation ticket from the domain of fear and confusion into joy and peace.

As a believer, it is important to keep fear out of our thoughts and actions. Fear can prevent us from living a life of faith and can cause us to doubt God’s promises and provision for our lives. Instead, we must trust in the Lord and remember the many promises He has made to us in the Bible. We must focus on the positive outcomes of a situation rather than allowing negative thoughts to dominate our minds.
Cornelius Oshiokhamele

I refuse it with all seriousness

The opposite of Faith is fear in another word in the absent of faith , fear is the boss and you know your boss dictate your every day activities , regulate your your actions either in place of work or as the case may be

Very correct sir
I refuse it
As believers, we can keep fear out by cultivating a strong relationship with God through prayer, worship, and the study of His word. We must also surround ourselves with other believers who can encourage and support us in our faith journey. It’s important to remember that we are not alone in our struggles and that God is always with us, ready to provide comfort and strength. The Bible says, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7). In summary, fear is a natural human emotion, but as believers, we can keep fear out of our lives by trusting in God, focusing on His promises, and surrounding ourselves with supportive Christian community. Through faith, we can overcome fear and live the abundant life that God has planned for us.

Today’s devotional is profound and powerful. I never knew what fear was until I was sick unto death few years back. The adversary had badly attacked & whittled down my faith to the ” what if ” mode. The Lord led me to Ps. 23:4, Malachi 4:2 & other scriptures that built up my faith and after reflecting on these passages with prayers, I found the winds had calmed and the cloud parted. I never knew the strength I needed to move past fear was with me all along. Glory to God.

However, in place of fear, God already gave us the power to use His Word, and love which is demonstrated in His Word, plus a sound mind, which enables us to assimilate and activate His Word in our lives. Thus, there is no reason to be uncertain about the outcome of our lives. Steadfast on God’s word

I believe what God has said.
Fear is uncertainty about outcome.
I refuse to fear.
God’s promises are not empty words; they are guarantees of His love and care for you. Take hold of them and let them be your anchor in the midst of life’s storms.
I starve my fear and feed faith.
Fear is a liar that distorts reality and paralyzes us. Choose to believe in the truth of God’s Word and walk in the freedom He offers.
God’s promises are the antidote to fear. Let them saturate your heart and mind, and you will find courage to face any situation.
Resist the urge to worry and instead, anchor yourself in the promises of God. His faithfulness is unwavering, and He will see you through every trial.
God already gave us the power to use His Word.
In the face of fear, choose to declare God’s truth. Speak His promises boldly and let them fill every corner of your being.
My life is defined by God’s word.
Fear may try to overwhelm you, but remember that you are not alone. God is with you
Fear has torment.
In the face of uncertainty, anchor your soul to the unchanging nature of God. His faithfulness is a rock that will never be shaken.
Faith is the antidote for fear.
God’s Word is a weapon against fear. Arm yourself with His promises, and you will emerge victorious in every battle.
What is fear anyways? In some ways you could simply say fear is a natural response to threat or danger. Fear is similar to worry, but worry has more to do with uncertainty, and fear has more to do with feeling threatened.
For us to overcome this spirit of fear, the Bible has told us on how to overcome it when it’s creep or shows it’s ugly face.
1. Always remember that God is with you. Isaiah 41:10
2. Know that God loves you. Psalm 118:6
3. Grow in your faith. Matthew 8:26
4. Meditate on God’s word. Psalm 56:4
5. Be strong and courageous. Joshua 1:7-9.

Today’s devotional highlights the destructive nature of fear, describing it as a spirit that infests the atmosphere or the human mind, leading to uncertainty and negativity. It encourages us to be aware of fear’s negative influence and to take steps to combat it.
Fear is one of the weapons the devil uses to operate in the mind and life of the believer. He knows the weaknesses and uses fear as a tool to rob them from the blessings of God no wonder the bible says he came to steal, kill , and destroy. We must become conscious of this strategy of the devil and fight daily to make sure fear doesn’t take over our faith by confessing the word of God daily over our lives, businesses, family etc. Once we can overcome fear we can effectively work in Faith. Fear is a spiritual tool that the enemy uses to rip us of our benefits in God. This is why our prophet will always say, we must say NO to Fear and expect God to do a marvellous thing in our lives, Is not just a confession but a daily instruction, I must fight to keep fear out every day it’s compulsory.
Meditating on God’s promises is presented as a powerful way to eliminate uncertainties and fears. By focusing on His Word and internalizing His promises, we can strengthen our faith and overcome any doubts or anxieties we may have about the future.
The devotional encourages us to resist the spirit of fear actively. It reminds us that we have the authority to reject fear’s influence in our lives and to choose instead to activate the power of God’s Word, which brings freedom, joy, and peace.
Thank you, Lord

The Word of God cancels the limiting power of fear in our hearts. Because as long as Fear exists, we can’t be granted access into the best parts of the Kingdom. There’s so much God has in stock for us and only those who walk in Faith can enjoy the realities of it.

The spirit of fear can be so limiting that it not only stops God from moving in our lives, but us as well. We become unable to produce the best of fruits in our personal walk towards growth and development. It’s expedient to pursue a faith filled life so nothing is delayed or eventually stopped. We keep moving. Hallelujah.

Lord help me to stop being so fearful. I want to be confident trusting in you.
Truth be told, we fear because we don’t know and trust the Character of God.
If we knew the extent and might of the one whom we call God, there would be nothing we would experience or encounter that would make us fear.
Yes! I refuse fear.
Like I always say; I can only accommodate one fear, the fear of the God, 2 is too much. No vacancy!
Fear is a spirit that comes with negativity and it’s one of devils weapons to enslave the mind of a man. God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and of a sound mind. Gloryyy

Fear affects confession, behaviour, mindsets and everything that reflects a persons persona.
A persons persona says all about the person and the enemy knows that by strategically planting fear, a persons will, emotion and intellect can instantly change course into a negative zone. And as along as negativity dwells within, everything without becomes negative. So, we must fight to stay on God’s word, the source of all positive and powerful insights for personal growth and development. Thank you Lord.

Fear is a spirit in the hand of the devil to gain access into the mind and life of the believer to attack him with sickness, setbacks and all forms of evil.
Fear creates an illusion of an uncertain future in the minds of the believer in Christ and cause him to doubt the promises of God.
Gods prescribed remedy for fear is the spirit of love (because perfect love cast away fear) and the spirit of sound mind (mind trained in the Word to recognise illusion and deception) revealed in the promises of the Word of God.
My resolve: I will meditate on the Word of God daily gleaning the promises therein so that there is no place for fear in my life.
Fear is a destiny killer, I have no other options but to trust in God’s words, because it has the potential and power to deliver me from fear and other attacks from the satan

Fear is an access tool from the enemy.
As along as we fear, we leave the door open to his wiles and deceits and propaganda of false hope that never yield the realities of the Wisdom of God. Once he’s in, he wrecks everything and destroys the host. Never live in fear. His lies can never stand the test of time, only God’s word Does. Hallelujah.

God doesn’t operate in the atmosphere of Fear, this is one sure thing we must arm our minds with. Once the enemy can get Fear into you or around you and you oblige, you have successfully put God away.
Without God with you, you are already headed for failure. There fore it is our responsibility to ensure we don’t allow Fear in and around us less you allow the enemy to prey.

In place of fear, God already gave us the power to use His Word as a weapon which is demonstrated in the Bible: 2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind, which enables us to assimilate and activate His Word in our lives.
Thus, there is no reason to be uncertain about the outcome of our lives rather than to solely truth in God without fear.
Lord give me the grace to walk in the fullness of faith
Oh yes glory
Fear is a tool used by the devil and it produces doubts, uncertainty and negativity. Our text rightly says that God has not given us the spirit of fear therefore we are not expected to have any thoughts of fear in us because it creates an access for the devil to attack us. NO TO FEAR!!!
Fear is a mirage !! It’s all lies
Lord help me to fix my eyes first on you
We fear because we don’t know God!!
I walk in love in power and a sound mind

Fear is a great limitation and I have come to notice that the area where God has a breakthrough for you is where fear likes to hold you down in. But the moment you are able to dislodge fear in that area, you will be amazed at the breakthrough waiting for you within that area.

God has already defined what our lives should be through the numerous promises of life, health, provision, protection, etc. which we find in His Word.
By meditating on these promises, we can eliminate all uncertainties, as we can count on Him to keep His promises because He is faithful (Heb. 10:23).

We fear because we forget God and what He says.
This is profound. Everything has been prepared, but fear makes us believe they aren’t real. His word is ever sure.
Yes sir we must not keep any property of the devil
Fear is a destroyer, a stealer and wants to stop us from having dominion.
I have come to realise that the antidote to fear is the word of God as rightly saifd by God’s Prophet. So i refuse to allow fear stop me. rather will use the word of God in that area of my life where fear is trying to show its self and dislodge it heavily with the Word of God until there is a complete manifestation of what i want to see and wha God has destined based on His word.
What a deep revelation from God’s Prophet this morning.

Understanding through the scriptural text today that fear also has ears to hear our command in Christ
Meditating constantly on God’s promises eliminates fear.
Busayo Toba-Olugosi
Fear can originate from divers kind of thought, the bible in Proverbs 4:23 says we should guard our heart with all diligence because from out of it flows the issues of life. This scripture implies that whatever we allow to enter our hearts, if not examined and evaluated properly, will undoubtedly be expressed in our lives and our actions.

This God is too much, imagine God putting my problems on his shoulder and bringing me to his peace, I refuse to fear

Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word. Fear also cometh by hearing and hearing. We should therefore be careful how we hear!!
I remember waking up from a dream that was so real to me that the fear of the events in the dream left me shaking for few minutes, but then I remembered the words of our prophet and wonders of the emperor of the multiverse so I said a short prayer in line with our prophets teach where he made different illustrations using Gods creation, the tree being the source of wood and through it by the wisdom of God tables are made, muscles gotten from the food we eat which was made from Gods creation etc and if God hadn’t created the raw material there won’t be any of those just paraphrasing. So I prayed that as long as I serve the architect and master of all creation I have no reason to fear because every other thing exists because of him and only he has the final say, immediately the fear left me and all I could do was thank God and go back to slept trusting God completely.Adanna Nwachukwu Lagos Nigeria

Just as we can stop our imaginations we can also stop fear. Just by exchanging our thoughts. Change the negative thoughts to positive ones. Dream-in positivity. Think-in positivity.
If the fear is over your mind and you cannot fight it there switch to shouting, jumping, acting positives. We can beat fear. We can keep it out. Either we fight it mentally or we fight it physically. We can keep it out.

We must meditate on the power of Gods word to overcome the spirit of fear.
We must put fear aside and believe in God as our total dependency
Our prophet deeply understands this topic of fear and he knows how much fear has robbed the people!
Thats why we always say No to FEAR and we expect God to do a marvelous thing in our lives!
Knowing that fear does not come from God, rather, it is a tool of the adversary which he deploys as a strategy to gain access into a man’s heart. Hence we to constantly feed our soul with the WORD.
Hallelujah 🙌🙌
Fear is not real, fear is a lie, and the only thing that can stop it is the WoRD! The word of God and his promises.

We can eliminate gear by meditating on the promises, we can also eliminate all uncertainties, as we can count on Him to keep His promises because He is faithful (Heb. 10:23).
As faith comes by hearing, so does fear comes by hearing also, we ought to be careful with what feeds our thoughts, minds and actions and be quick to cleanse our heart with the communion and flesh of our lord Jesus Christ.
There is no reason to entertain uncertainty in your life because God has given us the WORD to counter fear in whatever way it might come.

Who shall I fear?
Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.
my God is a promise keeper and he honors his words more than he honor his name.

Amen Amen Amen 🙏🏾
