Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV): “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”

Even in moments when you feel weak, overlooked, or uncertain, His posture toward you does not change. He delights in you with intention, surrounding you not only with strength, but with affection. His victory over your battles is not separate from His love for you—it flows from it.
Today, know that El-Gibbowr rejoices over you. His power fights for you, and His joy rests on you. In Him, you are both defended and celebrated. And in that reality, you find not only security, but deep assurance—that the God who stands strong on your behalf also holds you close with unwavering delight. You are safe, you are loved, and you are not forgotten.

Portugal, a nation of approximately 10 million people at the westernmost edge of Europe, carries a rich history of Catholic Christianity that has shaped its culture for centuries. Yet today, the nation is marked by increasing secularism, an ageing population, and the quiet departure of many from active faith. While a growing evangelical movement is emerging, it remains a minority voice in a predominantly nominal Christian context. Portugal also wrestles with economic pressures, youth emigration, and a spiritual hunger that formal religion has not fully satisfied, making it ripe for a genuine move of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer for a Nation — Portugal
Father, we pray for a fresh wave of the Holy Spirit to sweep the coastal cities and rural towns of Portugal, bringing both spiritual awakening and social transformation to communities that have not yet heard the true Gospel, in Jesus’ name.
