SET YOUR HARVEST

SET YOUR HARVEST

July 4, 2023
“Scriptural Text: Galatians 6:7 (NKJV)

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

At the beginning of a planting season, a farmer prepares his seed for planting, tills the land, plants the seeds, and then tends the emerging plants until they are mature and ready for harvesting. This cycle ensures that what he had as a seed at the beginning becomes a bountiful harvest in the end; a little at the beginning, and so much more at harvest.

Our opening text today tells us that it is what you sow that comes back to you as a harvest. It goes without saying then that you can determine how prosperous you would be by the end of every cycle in your life, just by paying attention to that which you sow with every opportunity that you get.

For instance, a seed of unbelief mixed with negative words would yield nothing but disappointment and regret sometimes later in the year. However, conscious efforts taken to ensure that you invest God’s Word into your heart, coupled with a lifestyle of faith and consistency would bring into reality all God has promised. The harvest is yours to determine.

Therefore, pay attention to what you sow as a seed today. Whether through your financial commitment to the Kingdom, your soulwinning life, or even in your investment into the lives of others, remember, God is not mocked, you will only reap to the extent that you sow!

🏞️ PRAYER FOR A NATION – NORTH KOREA
Known as the “Hermit Kingdom,” North Korea has chosen to isolate its people from the outside world. Once called the “Jerusalem of the East,” Pyongyang, North Korea’s capital, no longer can claim that title as many of its Christians fled to South Korea during the Korean War.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the Church and believers in North Korea will be strengthened with might to persevere and multiply amid the horrific persecution they face, in the name of Jesus.

2. Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, just like you did to Paul on the way to Damascus, raise unto yourself in North Korea, a leader who will encounter you and be the factor for change in the Nation, in Jesus Name.

🕍 PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – ( [popup_anything id=”5015″] )
Father in the name of Jesus, show your mercy and favour in this set time to Israel. Let your mercy not depart from Israel, in Jesus name.

💒 PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, cause your love to be shed abroad in the heart of every believer in the body of Christ today, that we may live as one and fulfil your word, in Jesus Name.

☄️ PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, pour out your Spirit upon our city today, and revive the hearts of the backslidden. Cause us to experience a revival in the name of Jesus.

What we are truly today is a product of the seeds we have sown yesterday, and what we would become tomorrow is as a result of that which we would sow today. Thank You Lord for your word to me today.

I’ve come to realize that the harvest of negativity happens faster than positivity and I’ve pondered on it to observe why it is so. I came to a conclusion that weeds does not need invitation to grow but for you to grow cassava, it takes constant and consistent effort of tilling the soil, cutting the stakes and placing it properly on the ridge for it to grow well and then harvesting the massive cassava that serves different purposes.

This has left me with this truth that I must insist on the right thing, nurture and water it till it grows and I receive my Bumper harvest of goodness.

Thank You so much my Prophet for an awakening in my heart as I studied today’s devotional. I’m rejuvenated. I love you Sir ❤️

  101. A common misconception about the principles of sowing and reaping is that we sow the seed, then wait for God to do the reaping for us. When we do this, we miss a very important part we are to play! We sow the seed, God gives the increase, but we are to reap (or gather) the harvest.
In other words, we must become a sower and a mower.

To do so, we must become aggressive. If we leave our harvest in the fields, it will rot! .

Lord, I purpose in my mind today to become aggressive about harvesting.i will leave nothing on the table for the enemy to steal because it belongs to me. Amen

As a Christian, you have been called to live a higher life – a life of holiness and righteousness. Stick to the Word of God and make sure that you apply it in every part of your life. There is no joy walking in disobedience; remember who you are in Jesus Christ and continue to focus on Him. As believers, we understand and embrace the concept of “what you sow, you shall reap.” It is a powerful reminder that our actions and decisions have a direct impact on our lives and the lives of others. It serves as a motivation to lead a righteous and purposeful life, knowing that our choices will ultimately determine the outcome. When we sow seeds of kindness, love, and compassion, we can expect to reap the same in return. As believers, we are called to emulate the character of Jesus Christ, who consistently demonstrated love and mercy towards others. When we sow seeds of generosity, forgiveness, and humility, we can expect these qualities to be reciprocated in our relationships and interactions with others.

what we sow goes beyond just our immediate relationships. Our actions have a ripple effect that can impact communities, societies, and even future generations. When we sow seeds of positivity and righteousness, we contribute to the overall well-being and harmony of society. Conversely, if we sow seeds of negativity, greed, or selfishness, we sow discord and negativity into the world around us. Understanding the principle of sowing and reaping reminds us to be mindful of our choices and actions. It encourages us to make intentional decisions that align with our faith and values. It reminds us that our behaviors and attitudes have consequences, and that our choices can either contribute to the flourishing and growth of ourselves and others, or hinder it. Ultimately, as believers, we are called to be intentional about what we sow, knowing that we will reap the fruit of our actions. Let us strive to sow seeds of righteousness, goodness, and love, knowing that in doing so, we not only reflect God’s character but also contribute to a better world around us.

Even as the scripture argues against works-righteousness by outward signs of circumcision and ceremonial restrictions, it urges righteous living and promises a harvest either way, whether it is a harvest of good or a harvest of wrongdoing.

To deny this fact by the way we live would be to mock God. In order to mock God, one must be deceived by Satan, the sinful flesh, and the lies of the world.

  229. What an amazing topic..

Our opening text remind us that “whatever a man sows, that he will also reap”. God is a just God and has instituted throughout human experience the concept of sowing and reaping.

When a farmer plants seeds and cares for those seeds, they will usually sprout and produce growth. In the same way, whatever a person plants in his own thinking and behavior will later bear fruit, either good or bad.

So, If a person is focused on fulfilling the desires of the flesh, and that is what he invests in, then that person will reap fruit of that investment.

    Thank you Prophet🙏🙏🙏

This Bible Verse Places A Strong Emphasis On Timing, As If We Sow When We Are Suppose To Be Weeding Or Even Harvesting, It Would Be Am Error Of Timing On Our Part, And As Such Might Not Get Any Increase, Return Of Profit, Nor Harvest. Thank you for sharing this insightful devotional on the importance of sowing seeds in our lives and the correlation between what we sow and what we reap. The analogy of a farmer preparing the seed, tilling the land, and tending to the plants until harvest is a powerful illustration of the process we go through in different areas of our lives.

  264. Akinsoju Julianah

The name of God holds great significance in various religious traditions, representing the divine presence and power. It serves as a powerful tool for believers to connect with the Almighty and seek His guidance, protection, and provision. When we use the name of God in accordance with His will, it demonstrates our trust and surrender to His divine plan.

  265. Akinsoju Julianah

The devotional highlights the principle of sowing and reaping, emphasizing that our actions, words, and investments have consequences that shape our future outcomes. Just as a farmer carefully selects and prepares the seeds for planting, we too have the opportunity to choose what we sow in various aspects of our lives. Whether it is sowing seeds of faith, love, kindness, or financial commitment to God’s Kingdom, our choices have a direct impact on the harvest we will reap.

  266. Akinsoju Julianah

The devotional also reminds us of the significance of investing God’s Word into our hearts and living a lifestyle of faith and consistency. By aligning our thoughts, words, and actions with God’s promises and principles, we position ourselves for a fruitful and abundant harvest. It’s a call to be intentional and mindful of the seeds we sow, knowing that God sees our efforts and rewards us accordingly.

  267. Wow today’s devotional is just so amazing…There’s no better way to explain it.
    Your seed determines your harvest.

  268. Akinsoju Julianah

Furthermore, the devotional emphasizes the principle of reaping in proportion to what we sow. Just as a farmer expects a bountiful harvest when they sow generously, we can expect blessings and abundance when we sow with faith and obedience. It serves as a reminder that God is faithful and just, and He honors the seeds we sow in His name.

  281. The analogy of a farmer’s planting and harvesting process serves as a powerful reminder of the significance of sowing seeds in our lives. We have the ability to shape our future by the choices we make and the seeds we sow. By consciously investing God’s Word into our hearts, embracing a lifestyle of faith, and aligning our actions with His principles, we can cultivate a harvest that surpasses our initial expectations. Let us be mindful of the seeds we sow in all areas of our lives and sow with wisdom, intentionality, and in accordance with God’s plan. Through this, we position ourselves for a bountiful harvest that reflects His abundance and faithfulness.

  282. The underlying principle of sowing and reaping is unchangeable and remains applicable in all areas of our lives. As the passage reminds us, God is not mocked, and the harvest we reap will always be in proportion to the seeds we sow. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to sow wisely, purposefully, and in alignment with God’s principles. By doing so, we position ourselves to experience a rich and abundant harvest that aligns with God’s plan and purpose for our lives.

  283. The passage encourages us to be intentional and mindful about what we sow as seeds in our lives. It extends beyond the realm of financial commitments to the Kingdom, although that is certainly important. It encompasses various aspects of our lives, such as our relationships, attitudes, habits, and investments in the lives of others. Every word we speak, every action we take, and every decision we make represents a seed that has the potential to bear fruit.

  284. For instance, consider the impact of sowing a seed of unbelief mixed with negative words. Such a seed has the potential to produce a disappointing and regretful harvest later on. Conversely, when we consciously invest God’s Word into our hearts and embrace a lifestyle of faith and consistency, we set the stage for the fulfillment of all that God has promised. By sowing seeds of positivity, faith, and aligning our actions with His principles, we can cultivate a harvest that far surpasses our initial expectations.

  285. The opening text underscores the fundamental principle that what we sow is what we will reap. It highlights the profound truth that our present and future circumstances are directly influenced by the choices we make and the actions we take. By paying close attention to the seeds we sow with every opportunity presented to us, we possess the power to shape our own destiny and determine our level of prosperity.

  286. The analogy presented in the passage compares the process of planting and harvesting to the cycles we experience in life. Just as a farmer prepares the seed, tills the land, plants the seeds, and tends to the emerging plants until they are mature and ready for harvesting, we too have the responsibility to sow the right seeds in our lives to yield a bountiful harvest. This cyclical process demonstrates the potential for exponential growth and abundance that lies within each of us.

  293. We must protect the seeds we sow by not negating or aborting it outcome through unbelief or negative words or through any other action that is contrary to God’s word

  294. This reminds me of a message our prophet taught sometime ago titled the equation of tomorrow. It is the seeds we sow today that determines what is waiting for me tomorrow

  295. This is so true we must insist on the right thing by not just planting but nurturing our seeds till it produces the desired outcome

  296. From today’s scriptural reference it is so clear that setting your harvest is not magic.God has put in systems around us as opportunities to be able to sow and expect a harvest according to how we have sown.
As long as the earth remains seed and harvest time will not cease.
We should not be surprised at the outcome of our lives because we have our own roles to play no matter the invariable indices

  297. Seed time and harvest time is a system of God that cannot fail. Be not deceived, if you do not sow, you cannot expect a harvest.
In this season of bumper harvest, will you release your faith to sow or will you watch and allow your season pass you by? You choose!
