“Scriptural Text: Daniel 3:18 (KJV)
“Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”
Fear is more than just a feeling triggered by the threat of danger, pain or harm. It is the uncertainty about any outcome. This means that each time a person is unsure or uncertain about the outcome of a thing, he is said to be in fear, but a man of faith is a man of full persuasion.
Imagine being confronted with a fiery furnace situation like the three Hebrew men in our opening scripture today. Would you fret and completely lose it, or would you have maintained the same persuasion as they? They held a conclusion in their hearts that God is faithful no matter what, being fully that even if He does not show up to save them in their circumstance, they would still believe Him as God at the risk of their lives. What an unflinching faith in the face of fear!
In our own lives, we often face situations that challenge our faith. From financial difficulties to health issues, broken relationships, or unfulfilled dreams, situations that test the limits of our faith and threaten to drown us in fear. Yet we can draw inspiration from the example of these Hebrew men who relied on the faithfulness of God and the infallibility of His promise.
This level of persuasion cannot be attained unless by constant meditation on the Word and on God’s promises. Ruminating on His faithfulness in your own life and in the lives of believers throughout the ages will help you to consolidate your faith and give no room for fear to build up in your heart.
Would you love to have a similar testimony of faith? Refuse to change your confession because of transient trials, but maintain a steadfast faith in God by holding on to His word and His promises. He will show up in His awesome power and you will have a testimony.

Fear is uncertainty, faith is full persuasion. Knowing that God is on my side is enough to help me believe. I must meditate not just on his word but move to meditate on God himself, trusting his character that he is able who has promised.
I have God by my side, it is not just a word or song, it is my victory. I am fully persuaded that he will come and save me.

Wow!! What a word!! Be fully persuaded. If God has said it, then, He would do it. He is not a man that He will lie. Glory!!!
The Almighty God, The Monarch of the Universe is forever faithful. We just need to be intentional about our trust in Him , total submission to be in charge regardless of what life throws at us.
Two things stand out for me in today’s devotional: God’s ability to save us in trouble and his willingness to save us. Sometimes we understand his ability to save us, but we do not believe he wills to help us. Like a leper in Matthew 8:2 who approached Jesus, he was sure of Jesus ability but was unsure of his willingness to heal him. Jesus however proved to him that he was both able and willing by cleansing him.
Our confidence can thus be boosted when we are persuaded of both his ability and his willingness to save us. And we would like Paul be able to say I know whom I have believed,and I’m persuaded…
The things we see are temporary- trials, temptations, etc. Look beyond the physical, look into God and His word. This will ignite faith because what is challenging us today is not new. Just be full persuaded. He has done it before. He’ll do it again!!

We must train ourselves to be tough enough not to allow the situations of life make us change our confessions. Faith is always acting the right way and we must activate that in our lives.

Believers can actually change the world with the type of unwavering faith and full persuasion that these three Hebrew Children had. They weren’t even grown up but they completely revolutionised an Empire and it’s Emperor.

It’s more than that. It’s a lifestyle. Our work with a perfect God that faileth not, can only be possible if we work by an unwavering faith towards him and all his promises. Anything short of it means death and a falling away from grace.
So let’s all stand talk even in the face of sin, fear and uncertainty; continue to believe God and obey his every word. By so doing, we are declaring his faithfulness and attracting his hand upon our lives.

As a person I’m always worried about the outcome of what I’m set to do. I used to think I was just being logical and this worries gave no room for me to exercise my faith but after today’s broadcast my mind is renewed and I have seen that fear is the mother of all afflictions and setback I’ve faced. I repent for not trusting God wholeheartedly with the process of my endeavors. I begin to live and act out my faith instead of fear by constantly reminding whatever challenges I face that My God is Able. Thank you Jesus
