“Scriptural Text:
Proverb. 23:18 (NJKV)
“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. “
God has great plans for you, and His will is to see you prosper and excel. (3John 2). His will however, can be limited by your expectation. In other words, your expecation sets the limit of how much you can receive from God.
Sadly, some believers have little or no expectations. They live their lives daily as they see it and rarely make effort to change their situation.
Sometimes, the rationale behind this mind-set is that when they do not have expectations, they will not be disappointed.
This mindset may also arise from the feeling of disappointment they previously experienced or from the way they were brought up. But, this is not God’s will for you.
As you step out every day, He has great things in store for you. (Jer 29:11) . So, set your expectations high and expect the best. The angels of God are on high alert to help you, but you must expect or anticipate their help to receive it. (Heb 1:14). Remember, you can only receive from God, as much as you expect.

Wow, Expectation is the mother of manifestation…To receive therefore is to set high expectations.
I can’t reflect what I don’t expect, Manifesting therefore is a product of high expectations. I expect to be blessed beyond measures, I expect a marvelous thing in my life I expect to be favoured each day as I wake up. I expect for a miracle, divine health, productive and fulfilled life. I expect to win, I expect to always be better than my yesterday, I expect divine visitations, divine direction and divine provision.
I refuse to be small in my thinking, believing for less…I choose to live a full of setting high expectation everyday.
This has really open my eyes and I will not set low expectations again.

Oh my!!! O Faithful God!!! This is just confirming what the Lord has been reminding me about and thankfully I yielded. My small business experienced a “No Sales” situation recently and the enemy kept telling me to forget about the business.
But the Holy Spirit reminded me of my “EXPECTATIONS” before I executed the business and how I used to receive orders steadily at some point. In the past few days, the Holy Spirit has been reminding me of how my Prophet on a Sunday service last year, encouraged us: He emphasized “forget about your past failures and disappointments, have faith in God, trust God!…” “…even if it doesn’t work, write your requests on a paper, place it on the floor, praise and dance around it, until it manifests…”

A lot of people have lower expectations, for example they tends to have higher expectations within their own time forgetting that God’s timing is the best. People lose faith due to what they maybe expecting from God didn’t arrive at the time they hoped for it and when this happens they start having doubts.
Whenever doubt comes in your mind ,it’s the devil’s plans to make you feel hopeless in your expectations.

I really love today’s devotional because I love to set high expectations for myself concerning my future and even for my HOP (hitting my target etc), but I’m also someone that doubt unnecessary and my confidence is like a switch – it goes on and off. But my Bible made me to.undertand that I can do all things through christ who strengthens me so I’ll keep holding on to that word. As individuals, we have our EXPECTATIONS and as believers the bible has made us understand that “thine expectation shall not be cut off” and that God has great plans for us, and His will is to see us prosper and excel. I can really relate to this that a lot of youth are limited of their thinking and imagination, some do go to church without no exception , some go for going sake or maybe there friends are going, but today the devotion has set our mind heart and imagination to the right place, God speaking through his prophet setting our spirit body and soul to the right place, and right imagination and our thinking into the right place, thank sir for today’s devotion. 🇨🇾🇨🇾🇨🇾🇨🇾
Setting your expectations high a means have a trust in God not faith but trust in God. Most us are very guilty of not setting high expectations we just say let me be getting 60,000 naira per week is still something I can manage myself with that we do not even think big at all when literally the bible say God has given us the Authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you like we are forgetting not only to tread on serpent and scorpion but to tread on and have Authority over finances to .

Expectations is the mother of Manifestations. In other word, you can only receive, how much you can picture, or should I rather say it is as far as your eye can see (Gen 13:14-17) God told Abram, look as far as you can see, i am giving unto you. Maybe we have forgotten that we have been called to glory and virtue, pls brothers and sisters in Christ you are not here by chance or by mistake, you are here for a reason, pls don’t be your own hindrance, do not limit yourself . God has made you kings and priest (Rev5:9) so you can reign on the earth. God has set you and I apart for greatness to show forth his light, all we need to do is receive his word, believe it, work with it and precept by precept we will see results. Jer 29:11 talks about God’s plan for our life and his plans for us are of good and not of evil, to give us a hope and future( an expected end) this means we can only see what we expect even tho God has a good plan for us.

Small me can limit how much I can receive from such a big God by not having any expectations or even setting them low.
A powerful reminder indeed is that I can only receive from God, as much as I expect so I am going to stop putting God in a box and allow Him to do what only He can do by setting high expectations.
