ENTRUSTED WITH DOMINION

From the beginning, humanity was given the responsibility to steward, govern, and bring order to creation under God’s authority, reflecting His rule in the earth. Every realm under your influence - your family, work, resources, and platform - has been entrusted to you by God, and how you govern it either honours Him or misrepresents Him, which is why dominion is always tied to stewardship and integrity. Today, recognise that every area where you carry influence is something God has personally entrusted to you.

Audio Version

Genesis 2:19 (KJV) – “And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.”

From the beginning, humanity was given the responsibility to steward, govern, and bring order to creation under God’s authority, reflecting His rule in the earth. The act of naming the earth’s creatures, given to Adam, was not a casual task but a profound demonstration of the authority God invested in those made in His image. Everything under your authority is there because God, in His wisdom and love, has entrusted it to you as both an honour and a responsibility.

To be entrusted with dominion means you operate not in your own strength but in the authority of the One who delegated power to you. Your dominion is meant to reflect the wisdom, justice, and love of God, revealing His character through how you lead and steward what He has placed in your hands. Every realm under your influence – your family, work, resources, and platform – has been entrusted to you by God, and how you govern it either honours Him or misrepresents Him, which is why dominion is always tied to stewardship and integrity.

Today, recognise that every area where you carry influence is something God has personally entrusted to you. Honour that trust by exercising your authority with wisdom, care, and faithfulness, knowing God watches how you steward what He has placed under your dominion. Your dominion is not for self‑exaltation but for fulfilling God’s purposes in the territories He has assigned to you.

Hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:

I decree that you are walking in the fullness of what God has entrusted to you! Every territory under your dominion is being governed with wisdom and faithfulness. You are faithful to the trust God has placed in you and that faithfulness is multiplying your influence and your authority in Jesus’ name!

Section 2—Praying the Promises:

Start-Up Prayer:

Father, I thank You that You have entrusted dominion to me. I declare that I walk faithfully in the authority You have given me and I govern every realm entrusted to me with wisdom, integrity, and love. I honour the trust You have placed in me by stewarding what You have given me with faithfulness and care, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Nation Focus: Democratic Republic of Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo is the second largest country in Africa by land area and home to a population of over 100 million people, making it one of the most populous nations on the continent. Christians make up approximately 95% of the population, with a significant Catholic majority and a large and growing evangelical and Pentecostal presence. Despite its extraordinary natural resources, the DRC has been afflicted by decades of conflict, political instability, extreme poverty, and one of the world’s most severe ongoing humanitarian crises, particularly in the eastern regions. Yet the Church in the DRC is a remarkable community of faith, known for its passionate worship, fervent prayer, and resilience in the face of extraordinary suffering.

Prayer for a Nation:

Father, raise up leaders in the DRC who understand that their authority is entrusted to them by You for the welfare of the people. Let faithful stewardship of leadership become the character that defines those who govern in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Leaders:

Father, convict the leaders of the DRC who have betrayed the trust of their people. Let those who would govern faithfully be lifted up and let the trust of a nation be restored in leaders who honour Your purposes in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Israel:

Father, let Israel understand that the land and the nation have been entrusted to her by You. Let faithful stewardship of that trust become the foundation of how the nation conducts itself in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Unity in the Church:

Father, awaken Your Church in our cities to the sacred trust of unity You have placed in our hands. Teach us to guard it with humility, to nurture it with love, and to express it through our speech, our conduct, and our devotion to one another. Let our lives become a living testimony of faithful stewardship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Souls/Revival:

Father, draw hearts in our communities to Yourself through the witness of Your people. Let every believer live with integrity and love, so that their lives point others to Christ. Use their influence, relationships, and daily conduct as a bridge that leads souls into salvation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
