PREVAILING BY PRAISE

Your testimony is a powerful declaration of God’s faithfulness and a source of strength for every season you face. Every testimony points forward, affirming that the same God who has helped you before is still working, still moving, and still bringing victory into your present journey. Today, open your mouth and testify. Speak of what God has done, declare His faithfulness, and use your testimony as the weapon it was designed to be.

Audio Version

2 Chronicles 20:22 (KJV): “And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.”

Praise is not a response to victory; it is the force that produces it. There are battles that are won not by the sword but praise. When praise rises from a sincere heart, it shifts perspective, strengthens faith, and invites God’s peace and power into the midst of any circumstance. It turns attention away from the size of the challenge and places it on the greatness of God.

Prevailing by praise means you choose to worship God in the middle of the battle, not after it is over. It means you open your mouth in confidence, lift your voice in faith, and declare the greatness of God while the enemy is still in the field. That act of faith releases a heavenly response that dismantles the enemy’s formation and turns the tide of the battle in your favour.

Today, choose to praise the Lord in every situation you are facing, not because the situation has changed but because God has not changed and His power to deliver is still completely intact. Let praise be the first weapon you deploy today and watch God go before you into every battle.

Hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:

I decree that as you praise the Lord today, God is setting ambushments against every enemy arrayed against you! The battle is turning right now in your favour because praise has gone before you. Keep praising and keep prevailing, in Jesus’ name!

Section 2—Praying the Promises:

Start-Up Prayer:

Father, I choose to praise You in the middle of my battle. I declare that as I lift my voice in praise, You set ambushments against every enemy that has come against me. My praise is my weapon and my worship is my warfare. I send praise ahead of me into every situation today, and I expect You to move mightily on my behalf, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Nation Focus: Nigeria

Nigeria is the most populous nation in Africa with an estimated population of over 220 million people. It is home to one of the largest and most vibrant Christian communities on the continent, with Christians comprising approximately 46% of the population, largely in the south and middle belt regions. The nation faces significant challenges including economic instability, security crises in multiple regions, widespread corruption, and persistent religious tension between Christian and Muslim communities in the north. Yet the Nigerian Church is a global mission force, sending ministers and intercessors around the world and carrying a burden for the evangelisation of the African continent.

Prayer for a Nation:

Father, let a wave of corporate praise rise from the Church in Nigeria in this season. Let the sound of praise and worship from every congregation become a prevailing force in the spiritual atmosphere and let the ambushments of God be set against every enemy of that nation in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Leaders:

Father, let the leaders of Nigeria be men and women who give You praise and glory. Let a culture of thanksgiving to God replace the culture of pride and self-reliance among those in authority in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Israel:

Father, let praise rise from Israel. Let the songs of Zion be heard again and let a fresh spirit of worship be poured out on the Jewish people as a forerunner to their national spiritual awakening in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Unity in the Church:

Father, let corporate praise be the atmosphere in which the unity of the Church in our cities is sustained. Let believers who praise together stay together and let the sound of united worship become the weapon that defeats every force of division in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Souls/Revival:

Father, let the atmosphere of praise in our churches be so tangible that those who walk in from the outside are immediately confronted with Your presence. Let many encounter You through the praise of Your people and let that encounter lead them to salvation in Jesus’ name.
