IT IS TIME TO WORK

John 9:4
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night cometh, when no man can work.”

There is nothing more true than that a man would always reap what he sows (Gal. 6:7). Thus, it holds true also that work programmes a harvest of results. The right and confidence that a farmer has to expect a bountiful harvest comes from the fact that he has tilled his land, planted some seeds, weeded the fields and tended the young plants.

The words of Jesus Christ in our text today are not to be taken with levity. He was not mincing words when He said, ‘Night cometh, when no man can work’. This suggests that the opportunity to work towards the accomplishment of a vision will not always be there. Thus, His statement is both a note of warning and a call to action.

The plan and purposes of God also are crafted in time, and He is calling unto you this season to intensify efforts in the direction of improving the quality of your walk with Him and your productivity. So, wake up! It is time to work!
