Proverbs 18:20 -“A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.”

How comforting our opening scripture is; connecting satisfaction in life to your words, is it not amazing? As a believer, you must realize that your words carry power. Many people speak carelessly, not realizing that their words shape their reality. Proverbs 18:20 reminds us that a man’s belly will be satisfied by the fruit of his mouth, meaning that what you say has a direct impact on your life. Your words can build or destroy, bless or curse, uplift or bring down.

Verse 21 of Proverbs 18 makes it clear that life and death are in the power of the tongue which implies that what you confess over your life, family, career, and future will determine the outcome. If you constantly speak negatively, you create an atmosphere of defeat, but when you declare God’s Word, you align yourself with His will and attract His blessings (Mark 11:23, James 3:5-6).

Today, make up your mind to be intentional about speaking words of faith and life. Instead of complaining, declare God’s goodness. Instead of speaking fear, proclaim His promises. Choose to use your words to edify and not tear down. As you do this, you will see God’s power at work in all aspects of your life. Hallelujah!

START-UP PRAYER:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask for grace to speak right always. Keep me from speaking words that do not align with Your truth, regardless of my mood or feeling. I chose to speak only edifying words, that I may reap the benefits of speaking words that align with Your Word, in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION
CHINA
Though the Church in China is massive, it remains only 8% of the population and is not distributed evenly throughout this vast land. Over 183,000,000 remain unreached by the Gospel and over 500 million are held captive to the mixed philosophies and teachings of Daoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Atheism. As materialism, corruption, and moral decline continue to ravage China, this incredible window of spiritual receptivity might not remain open.

PRAYER FOR THE NATION

Father, we pray against every law that prohibits Christian gatherings and the preaching of the Gospel. Let such laws be nullified in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that the leaders will stand together as one in fighting violence and injustice in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, we pray for the fulfillment of You covenant with Isarel. Bless and protect them from all harm, that through them other nations will be blessed in Jesus Name.

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, we pray for the manifestation of Your presence in our churches, that we may know Your great power and surrender totally to You in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
