Daniel 6:3 – “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princess, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.”
We often admire people who stand out—whether in business, sports, ministry, or leadership. But what makes them different? Is it luck or talent? Our opening scripture provides a perfect explanation—it is the commitment to excellence. Daniel was not born into privilege, nor did he have powerful connections, yet he was preferred above others because of the excellent spirit within him. He was diligent, wise, and reliable, and that positioned him for promotion.
Consider David, he did not just know how to play the harp; he mastered it. When King Saul needed a skilled musician, David’s name came up because of his excellence (1 Samuel 16:18). His skill did not just bring him before the king; it opened the door to his destiny. When you invest in doing your best, God will position you for greatness.
Today, draw up a plan to sharpen your skills, develop discipline, and commit to doing things well. As you cultivate a spirit of excellence, doors will open, favour will follow, and God will lift you to new levels of achievement. Glory to God!

Social mores in areas such as divorce and cohabitation are becoming increasingly liberal, while crime, drug abuse, and materialism are also on the rise.
