Devotional Text
Psalm 37:5 (KJV)- “Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass”
Trusting God fully is an act of surrender that acknowledges His sovereignty over every aspect of our lives. When we commit our plans, desires, and worries to Him, we are declaring our faith in His ability to accomplish what is best for us. Trusting Him means letting go of control and placing our confidence in His unfailing wisdom and love.
God is faithful to guide and fulfill His promises when we trust Him. However, trusting fully requires patience and sometimes enduring difficult seasons without losing hope. God may not always work in ways we expect, but He works for our good. As we trust, we build more confidence in Him, His peace surges through us; imparting our hearts such that our faith in Him is strengthened and our minds are able to decode His true intentions for our lives. Our scriptural text summarizes it perfectly; when we commit our ways to God, He ensures we do not fail.
So, what exactly are you trusting God for today? have you committed your plans into His able Hands? If yes, then have no fear or doubt, trust in His timing and methods. Do not tell Him when or how you want it done, rest assured that as you lean on Him, He will bring to pass all that He has promised for your life. Hallelujah!
START-UP PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask for grace to trust You with all my heart, help me depend on Your guidance as I pursue my goals this month in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
CAPE VERDE
Catholicism had a privileged position until Cape Verde’s independence, and while nearly 90% of nationals still identify themselves as Catholic, the church is synchronized with superstitions and African fetishism. Cape Verdeans have also had a longstanding Nazarene presence, and Pentecostals have seen increases in numbers, nearly 6% annually. Local leaders are needed to rise up and disciple others as geographical isolation and a unique dialect have prevented spiritual growth amongst many national believers.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that more spiritual leaders will arise to disciple believers in a way that pleases You, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that those in authority will be grounded in Your Word, that their policies and plans may align with Your will for them in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, we ask that Your Hand will rest mightily upon the leaders in Israel, that they may boldly declare Yeshua as the only way to You in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, we ask that you synchronize the heart of every believer and unify our spirits to receive and submit to Your vision for us in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, we pray that every lie implanted into the minds of the unsaved, in yielding to the lustful desires of the flesh be removed in Jesus name.
