Audio Version
Luke 5:16 (KJV) “And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.”
The prayer life of Jesus was characterized by the power of withdrawal, making it a priority to withdraw into a place of solitude, far from the noise, opinions, and demands of men. To pray like Jesus is to recognize that spiritual momentum is sustained by regular periods of isolation with the Father. When you withdraw, you are not running away from your responsibilities; you are running toward the Source of the strength needed to fulfil them.
The hand of the Lord is activated by a life of such consecration and alignment. Withdrawing signifies mental and spiritual preparation to remove every weight and distraction. In the quietness of separation, God’s voice becomes clearer, releasing supernatural endowment that empowers you to accomplish far beyond your natural capacity. If the Son of God required withdrawal to remain in sync with the Father’s will, how much more do we need to pull away from the busyness of our careers, businesses, and ministries to be recharged by the Spirit?
Today, make a commitment to live in constant consciousness of the strategy of separation in prayer. Recognize that you do not have to struggle on your own or work yourself into exhaustion. As you withdraw to pray with total focus on God, expect to emerge with light, momentum, and supernatural acceleration that will cause you to overtake those who rely only on natural speed.
Hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:
I declare that the hand of the Lord is released upon you as you seek Him in the secret place! I decree that as you withdraw from the noise to pray like Jesus, you will receive fresh fire and divine visitation from Jesus!
