Romans 12:1 – “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice God, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Our opening scripture instructs us to present our bodies to God sacrificially.
But what does this mean? When we present our bodies as a living sacrifice, we are acknowledging that God is the owner of our entire being. Our eyes, ears, mouth, hands, and feet are all instruments for His glory. We use them to worship, serve, and honour Him. This offering is not limited to our spiritual activities, but extends to every area of our lives – our work, relationships, and daily interactions.
It may mean being intentional about the words you speak, the actions you take, or the habits you cultivate, being mindful of the media you consume, ensuring that what you watch, listen to, and read aligns with God’s values and principles. It may mean using your time to share the gospel, using your hands to serve in volunteering, helping a person in need, or simply being present for a loved one. It may mean honouring God with your physical health, recognizing that your body is a temple and taking care of it through healthy habits and self-care.
Today, as you seek to live out this calling, ask God to guide you in specific ways. Ask Him to show you how to use your body to love and serve others, and to give you the courage to take practical steps towards living a life that honours Him. May your life be a living, breathing expression of God’s love and redemption, shining brightly in a world that needs it, in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR A NATION
CYPRUS
Cyprus has struggled to achieve stability since gaining independence from Britain in 1960. A 1974 Turkish invasion and occupation of the north has divided the island, creating 230,000 refugees. The island remains divided, with the Republic of Cyprus and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus having separate governments. Negotiations for reunification have been ongoing since 2008, but progress is slow. Cyprus is struggling with severe economic challenges, with heavy exposure to bad foreign debt and a declining tourism industry. The country also struggles with negative prejudices against Evangelical and Protestant churches.
