Devotional Text
2 Corinthians 12:9 – “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
There are times in life when you lack the strength and willpower to go on. Perhaps situations around you have been unfavorable, making you feel inadequate and overwhelmed. There is hope for you. God does not expect you to rely on your own strength. Our opening scripture reminds us that His grace is sufficient and that we can rely on His strength to carry us through in times of weakness. This means that even in your moments of struggle, God’s power is at work in you, enabling you to overcome the challenges before you.
Understanding this truth changes everything. Instead of feeling discouraged by your weaknesses, you can surrender them to God and allow Him to work through you. The Apostle Paul who faced many hardships, learned to rejoice in his weaknesses because they positioned him to experience God’s power (Acts 27:30-44). Likewise, when you stop depending on your abilities and lean on God’s strength, you will see His supernatural help in every area of your life.
So today, rather than being weighed down by your limitations, choose to rise above them by relying on God’s grace. Speak His Word over your life, trust in His power, and move forward with confidence. The strength of God is resting on you right now, enabling you to achieve what you could never do on your own. Say Amen to this, Amen!
START-UP PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask for grace to rely on Your strength to press forward until I see the fulfillment of all You have planned for me. Cause me to stand strong in faith, that Your power may rest mightily on me. In Jesus’ Name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
CHAD
The nation has been ripped apart by civil war, and 80% of the population lives below the poverty line. The government, as is common in Africa, is known for its high levels of corruption. A Muslim minority group, the Zaghawa, control the majority of the government, trade, and armed forces. Chad has been torn apart as a nation and as a Church. Unification and reconciliation are desperately needed.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION:
Father, we ask that your love will begin to penetrate the hardened hearts of many who are spiritually unresponsive in this land, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for wisdom, integrity, and justice among the authorities in this land, that they would govern in a way that promotes peace, religious freedom, and societal well-being in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, we pray that you will fill the believers in Israel with wisdom, sensitivity and patience in sharing the Gospel with those who do not believe, and answer objections with grace, clearly presenting Jesus to them with love and compassion, in Jesus’ Name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, we ask that you synchronize the heart of every believer and unify our spirits to receive and submit to Your vision for us in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that the allure of wealth and riches will not blind the heart of the unsaved souls to the true riches found in Christ, in Jesus Name.
