Proverbs 4:7 KJV– “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”
In our opening Scripture, Solomon highlights the priceless value of wisdom and understanding, teaching us that both spiritual and practical knowledge are essential for a life of purpose. The pursuit of knowledge is a gateway to thriving, not only in our walk with God but also in our daily endeavors. It shapes our thinking, sharpens our skills, and positions us for success in our God-given assignments.
God calls us to grow in spiritual wisdom through the study of His Word, prayer, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. This equips us to live in alignment with His will, make righteous decisions, and fulfill His purpose for our lives. At the same time, excelling in our fields of endeavor requires a commitment to learning and developing practical knowledge. Whether it’s advancing in our careers, honing our talents, or mastering our crafts, knowledge opens doors to innovation, influence, and impact. God honours the efforts we put into learning, as it reflects a desire to steward the opportunities, He has given us. When we combine the wisdom of God with expertise in our field, we become equipped to thrive and lead with excellence.
Commit today to becoming a lifelong learner, deepen your understanding of God’s Word while also seeking knowledge relevant to your field. Study, ask questions, embrace new challenges, and remain teachable. START-UP PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask for grace to pursue both spiritual and practical knowledge, help me to grow in my understanding of Your Word and to excel in my field of endeavor, equip me with the discipline, and creativity I need to thrive in every area of my life in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
CAPE VERDE
Catholicism had a privileged position until Cape Verde’s Independence, and while nearly 90% of nationals still identify themselves as Catholic, the Church is synchronized with superstitions and African fetishism. Cape Verdeans have also had a longstanding Nazarene presence, and Pentecostals have seen increase in numbers, nearly 6% annually. Local leaders are needed to rise up and disciple others as geographical isolation and a unique dialect have prevented spiritual growth amongst many national believers.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that You raise multilingual local leaders in every city that there be no geographical isolation of any sort on account of language barrier in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Oh Lord, we ask for a release of wisdom and understanding on all the leaders, that they may lead in righteousness and justice in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, we ask that you grant Israel lasting peace, protect them from violence and terrorism, that Your people may flourish in their own land in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray against the promotion of personal agendas against Your will, by wisdom, turn the hearts of Your servants the Pastors to uphold the truth above all else in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we bind every anti-revival strategy and operation of Satan in our cities, that there be no hindrance to the preaching of the Gospel in Jesus name.
