Psalm 121:7-8 – “The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
One of the greatest benefits of being a believer is the protection we enjoy. The enemy’s eyes are constantly on you, seeking the slightest opportunity to attack. But the good news is that no matter what efforts the devil makes to harm you, the Lord is more than able to preserve you from them all.
Our opening scripture assures us that God watches over His own, keeping them safe wherever they go. His preservation is not only physical; it extends to your soul, your destiny, and every aspect of your life (Isaiah 54:17, 2 Thessalonians 3:3).
While challenges may arise, they will not overcome you because God is your protector. The enemy may plot, but God’s promises stand sure—He will guard you against harm and keep you secure in His unfailing love. Hallelujah!
Today, walk in the confidence that you are protected by God. Do not allow fear or anxiety to take hold of you. Rest in the assurance that you are preserved from all evil, now and forever.
START-UP PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for your promise of preservation. Help me to maintain confidence in this, that regardless of the challenges around me, I will walk boldly, knowing You will not let me be a victim to the attacks of the enemy, in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
COLUMBIA
Roman Catholicism has long been a part of Colombian culture, and more than ninety percent of Colombians identify themselves as Catholic, though far fewer are practicing. Since the 1991 constitution, other denominations have been given religious freedom, and the evangelical church has grown significantly. The extremist paramilitary groups view this growth as a threat, and many have reacted with violence against the evangelical leadership.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray against laxity and slothfulness among believers in this nation. Awaken their faith in You, that they may be vessels fit for Your use in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that the leaders will be men and women void of criminal inclinations. Cause them to pursue things that are just and true, that You may delight in them and help them in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we rid Israel of the “mixed multitude”, causing them to question the authority of Jesus as the only way to salvation. Cleanse their heart of every lie and perverseness, that they may seek You with all their heart and might in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the name Jesus, we ask that You make the church a sanctuary of hope and love, that all who come to it may feel loved and welcome. Let there be at liberty to worship you with all their hearts, find rest in You and take their place in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Oh Lord, give us a compassionate heart for souls that we may labour in the place of prayer and soulwinning leading to a harvest of souls in Jesus name.
