Proverbs 10:4-5 (KJV) – “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.”
As believers, we are called to live a life of purpose and productivity. Our scriptural text reminds us that diligence and planning are essential for achieving success.
Think about it, how many times have you started a project or pursued a goal, only to lose focus along the way? Maybe you have always dreamed of starting your own business, but you have been too afraid to take the leap. Or perhaps you have been trying to get out of debt, but you keep getting stuck in the same cycle of overspending. Whatever your goals or challenges may be, one thing is clear: a lack of planning and diligence will always hold you back. Gathering in summer symbolizes planning and preparation for the future. It requires effort, discipline, and foresight. On the other hand, sleeping during harvest represents a lack of preparation and responsibility, leading to shame and regret.
Take time today to reflect on your life and plans. Are you being diligent and responsible, or are you sleeping through the opportunities that God has provided? Ask God for wisdom and guidance, and make a commitment to plan and prepare for your future. With diligence and hard work, you will reap a rich harvest and bring glory to God. Hallelujah!
START UP PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask for grace to be diligent in all I do. Help me to labour as I should and avoid laziness by all means. Enable me oh Lord, to effectively manage and invest the resources I have that I may reap a reward that will bring me into rest, in Jesus’ name.

CAPE VERDE
Catholicism had a privileged position until Cape Verde’s independence, and while nearly 90% of nationals still identify themselves as Catholic, the church is synchronized with superstitions and African fetishism. Cape Verdeans have also had a longstanding Nazarene presence, and Pentecostals have seen increases in numbers, nearly 6% annually. Local leaders are needed to rise up and disciple others as geographical isolation and a unique dialect have prevented spiritual growth amongst many national believers

Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray against the spirit of superstition among believers in this nation, deliver them oh Lord by Your mighty power, that they may solely align with Your truth in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the name of Jesus, give unto the leaders of this nation, a heart for justice. let righteousness and justice prevail in their decisions in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, we pray for Your continued hand of protection over Israel, cause the leaders to walk in alignment with your divine plan for their land, that it may be said by all nations that the hand of the Lord surely is upon Israel, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, we ask that you touch the heart of every believer, that we may walk in unity and love, take away divisions and strife, that we may stand as one body, shining Your light to the world in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for the lost. Open their eyes to the truth of the gospel, and draw them into Your marvelous light in Jesus name.
