Psalm 28:7 (KJV)-“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.”

Fear is a thief. It robs us of courage, paralyzes our dreams, and blocks us from stepping into the fullness of God’s purposes for our lives. But, Psalm 28:7 reminds us of a powerful truth: God Himself is our strength and shield. When we place our trust in Him, He steps in to help us, dismantling the chains of fear and replacing them with unshakable confidence.

Fear is not from God; it is a weapon of the enemy. Yet, as believers, we are equipped with something far greater; the power of the Holy Spirit. This is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11). It resides in you, and when you understand this truth, fear loses its grip.

Your conviction of God’s abundant love towards you, drives out fear (1 John 4:18). It emboldens you to face challenges with the assurance that He is with you. His strength enables you to do what seemed impossible, His Word shields you from harm, and His wisdom equips you to discern truth from the enemy’s lies.

Today, confront fear with the Word, speak this truth aloud: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me!” Declare that fear has no place in your life because God’s love reigns supreme. Take even the smallest step toward what fear has tried to hold back, and watch as God’s strength carries you further than you imagined possible. Hallelujah!

PRAYER FOR A NATION
CAPE VERDE

Catholicism had a privileged position until Cape Verde’s Independence, and while nearly 90% of nationals still identify themselves as Catholic, the Church is synchronized with superstitions and African fetishism. Cape Verdeans have also had a longstanding Nazarene presence, and Pentecostals have seen increase in numbers, nearly 6% annually. Local leaders are needed to rise up and disciple others as geographical isolation and a unique dialect have prevented spiritual growth amongst many national believers.
