MAKE YOUR BATTLE STRONGER

Making your battle strong does not mean striving in your own strength. It means drawing closer to God in prayer, leaning on His Word, and choosing courage when fear wants to take over. Today, take courage, refuse to let setbacks quench your faith. Encourage yourself in the Lord and step forward again.

Audio Version

2 Samuel 11:25 (KJV) – “Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee: for the sword devoureth one as well as another: make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.”

There are times in life when things don’t go as planned, when effort feels wasted, and when results don’t show up as quickly as we hoped. In moments like this, it is easy to feel displeased, let your heart sink, and think maybe God has forgotten what He promised. But this passage points us to the right attitude to take: “Do not be discouraged. Make your battle stronger.”

Making your battle strong does not mean striving in your own strength. It means drawing closer to God in prayer, leaning on His Word, and choosing courage when fear wants to take over. It is to refuse, retreat and instead intensify your pursuit of victory, praying more fervently, believing more boldly, and acting more courageously in the face of resistance. The “city” before you, the vision God gave you, the dream He planted in your heart can still be taken. Delay is not denial. Disappointment is not defeat.

So today, take courage, refuse to let setbacks quench your faith. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Strengthen your hands in prayer, steady your heart in the study of the word, and step forward again. The One who called you is faithful, and He has not forgotten you. He will surely bring his word to pass in your life. Say a loud AMEN!

Start-up Prayer

Nation Focus: Guatemala

Guatemala, the “Land of Eternal Spring,” is a Central American nation with stunning landscapes, Mayan heritage, and vibrant culture. Yet, it struggles with poverty, corruption, violence, and inequality. Many families face limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunity, while crime and gangs affect communities. Christianity is widespread, but syncretism and secular influences weaken spiritual growth. The nation needs revival and a fresh awakening to bring healing, justice, and renewed passion for God.
