Audio Version
Matthew 25:40 (KJV) – “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
Jesus identifies with the needy—He calls them “my brethren” and regards every act of compassion toward them as done unto Himself. To serve the poor, the lonely, and the overlooked is to serve the Lord personally. Our hands that reach out in practical love become the hands of Christ to a hurting world.
Compassion is not optional for the follower of Jesus; it is a lifestyle. The gospel is displayed most convincingly when the church moves from words into tangible help: feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, sheltering the homeless, and defending the oppressed. When mercy guides our service, we reflect the heart of our Saviour.
Today, ask God to give you eyes to see the needs around you and courage to respond. A small gift, a listening ear, or a timely act of service may be the very thing through which God meets someone’s need—and through which He meets yours. Let every compassionate act be offered as worship to Jesus.
What a powerful time in God’s Word today! As you go forth, hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:
I declare that compassion will arise in you now. Your hands will feed the hungry, your voice will speak comfort, and through your mercy many will meet Jesus. Expect doors of favour and divine provision as you serve the least of these. Amen

SECTION 2: PRAYING THE PROMISES
Welcome to today’s Praying the Promises. If you have not read today’s devotional, scroll upwards to read it first. Let us now pray in line with today’s word.
Start-Up Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, give me a compassionate heart and hands that help. Let me see the needs around me and give me grace to respond with wisdom, humility, and generosity. Let every act of mercy be an offering unto You.
Nation Focus: Kuwait
Christianity in Kuwait forms a small minority within a predominantly Muslim society. As of 2024, Christians make up about 10–12% of the population, mostly foreign workers from the Philippines, India, and Africa, with only a few hundred Kuwaiti nationals identifying as Christian. Evangelism is prohibited, often leading converts to practice their faith privately. Christians face ongoing challenges including limited worship spaces, and social pressures against public religious expression.
Prayer for a Nation – Kuwait
Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift Kuwait before You. Strengthen the small Christian witness there; protect vulnerable believers; grant justice where rights are denied; and move mightily to open doors for gospel advance. Bring unity where there is division and peace where there is tension.
Prayer for Leaders
Father, in the name of Jesus, grant leaders in Kuwait wisdom, courage, and a heart for justice. Soften hard places in governance, protect minority rights, and guide leaders to pursue peace and reconciliation.
Prayer for Israel
Father, in the name of Jesus, we bless Israel. Uphold Your covenant promises, protect her people, and let Your peace reign.
Prayer for Unity in the Church
Father, in the name of Jesus, remove every root of pride and division across Your Church. Bind us together in humility and love, that we may serve one another and the world with one voice.
Prayer for Souls / Revival
Father, in the name of Jesus, send revival that meets practical needs and opens hearts to the gospel. Raise labourers, heal broken lives, and bring multitudes into Your Kingdom.
