Devotional Text
2 Corinthians 9:8 –“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
The life of a believer is full of endless possibilities, but unfortunately only a few understand this and use it to their advantage. God did not call you to a life of lack or insufficiency. His desire is for you to walk in abundance in every area of your life, including your health, relationships, career, etc. He is a loving Father who ensures that His children are well taken care of, providing all that is needed to fulfill their purposes and dreams.
The magnitude of abundance He has called you to enjoy is beautifully described in our opening text. The question therefore is, do you believe it? Today, consciously remind yourself that you are called into abundance. Abundance is not meant for a selected few, it is for you! So, open your mind, dare to see abundance coming your way (Genesis 13:14-15). It is your right as a child of God to enjoy life to the fullest.
Do not allow your mind to buy into the narrative that ‘you must struggle to succeed’. Instead, declare God’s sufficiency over your life, choose to see yourself as a channel of His blessings, always equipped for good works. Be confident that His grace in you is more than enough to produce the results you seek. Hallelujah!
START-UP PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, I acknowledge You as the source of all that is good and perfect. Help me to trust in Your ability to bring me into abundance, by the workings of Your grace in my life. Cause me to prosper in all I do, that Your name may be Glorified in my life, in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
CHAD
The nation has been ripped apart by civil war, and 80% of the population lives below the poverty line. The government, as is common in Africa, is known for its high level of corruption. A Muslim minority group, the Zaghawa, control the majority of the government, trade, and armed forces. Chad has been torn apart as a nation and as a Church. Unification and reconciliation are desperately needed.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for leaders to be raised up within the local churches, who have a heart for reaching out to the lost, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will grant the leaders of this country the grace and wisdom to unify this country according to your divine will in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, we pray that the Arabs and Jews in this land will recognize Your love for them, and their deep need for You to cleanse them and give them a new heart, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that You will give the church the grace to stay true to Your message and proclaim it whether or not it is convenient in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that You would circumcise the heart of every unsaved soul in our city today. Cause them to be fully submissive to Your Word and truth in Jesus Name.
