God is a fisher of men, and your gift is a bait He has designed to get people hooked to Him. Your gift should attract people so that they can be hooked to Christ. It may be your voice, looks or even your intelligence. Putting your gift to work in such a way that your gift in operation can bring men to God is witnessing.
To seek the kingdom is to let your heart be filled with passion for God’s work and for His house. It is placing the highest value on the kingdom and thus having a willingness to give up anything for it. What you have the highest value for is usually referred to as your treasure.
To serve in the house of God with murmurings, grumbling and dissatisfaction is to forfeit your reward. By complaining or habouring ulterior motives and greed, you may be disqualified from receiving the attendant blessings of service to God. This is why it is important to do all that you do in the house of God joyfully, cheerfully and with your whole heart.
