Proverbs 2:6-7 – “For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.”
Wisdom is one of the most valuable gifts a believer can ask from God. It is beyond knowledge; it is the ability to apply understanding in a way that leads to success and fulfillment. Our opening scripture shows us that wisdom comes from the Lord, and He gives it freely to those who seek Him. His wisdom gives you the ability to make sound decisions in all areas of your life.
When you walk in wisdom, you are equipped to handle challenges with insight. God’s wisdom shields you from making costly mistakes that could cause irreversible damages in your life. The Bible tells us that Solomon asked for wisdom above riches or power, and because of this, God granted him both wisdom and abundant blessings (James 1:5, 1 Kings 3:9-12). This shows that those who value wisdom will always have better outcomes than their counterparts.
Beginning Today, make it a habit to ask God for wisdom in all areas of your life. Whether in your career, relationships, or service to Him, seek His counsel before making decisions. The Lord has promised to give wisdom generously to those who ask in Him so, ask Him, the results will blow your mind. Hallelujah!
Start-up Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask for wisdom today, cause me to make decisions that align with Your purpose for my life, that I may continuously prosper in all I do, in Jesus’ Name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
COLUMBIA
Roman Catholicism has long been a part of Colombian culture, and more than ninety percent of Colombians identify themselves as Catholic, though far fewer are practicing. Since the 1991 constitution, other denominations have been given religious freedom, and the evangelical church has grown significantly. The extremist paramilitary groups view this growth as a threat, and many have reacted with violence against the evangelical leadership.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, we pray against crimes against the evangelical movement in Columbia, we decree an end to their operations in the land, that the church’s growth may be unhindered, in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that a holy fear will rest upon the leaders in this land, tame their pride and put in them the spirit of humility, that they may seek after Your righteous judgements in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we dismantle every desire in the hearts of Your people Israel in lusting after strange gods as in time past. Cause them to remain on the right path in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, we pray against the spirits of perverseness and blasphemy in our churches. Cause the church be united in obedience that Your people may be properly furnished with the Word of truth in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come against every altar speaking against the salvation of souls and revival in the nations. We superimpose the voice of the blood of Jesus over them in Jesus Name.
