WAIT ON THE LORD

WAIT ON THE LORD

JUNE 9, 2023

Scriptural Text:
Isaiah 40:31 ( (NKJV))
” But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint:”

Waiting on the Lord does not imply passivity or inactivity. It is an active choice to surrender our own strength and plans before the Lord, and to align ourselves with His timing and purpose for our lives. It is God’s invitation for us to draw near to Him, and to find our strength in His presence.

Just like for any other commandment of God, waiting on the Lord is not a fruitless exercise. As our opening text today shows us, in our waiting, we exchange our weariness for God’s strength, our worries for His peace, and our limitations for His limitless possibilities.

Waiting on the Lord strengthens our faith and molds our character. This is because as we wait, we learn dependency on Him and learn to make Him our only hope. The waiting process teaches us humility and dependency, as we acknowledge that we are not in control, but that He is the one who holds our future.

When we find alignment with God through waiting, our strength is renewed and we are empowered to mount up with wings as eagles above very limitation of life. In waiting, we also find a new strength to run the race before us knowing that God is the source of our sustenance.

Therefore, embrace the opportunity to wait on the Lord today, and do it with all your heart, knowing that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6). Set your heart aright and spend time in His Word and prayer, seeking His guidance and listening for His voice, and surely, you will return empowered to win in life!

  41. Thanks for the devotional My Prophet.

Those who wait on God can go about their assigned tasks, confident that God will provide the meaning and conclusions to their lives and the harvest to their toil. Waiting is the confident, disciplined, expectant, active, and sometimes painful clinging to God. It knows that we will reap a reward.
I ask that God grant us the ability to wait on Him regardless. Amen.

Today’s devotional teaches us that no matter the situation will are into we should wait for Gods time, we shouldn’t be in a hurry in life, “Wait unto thy Lord” is a phrase that holds a lot of meaning and relevance in different aspects of our lives. It reminds us to have faith and trust in our Higher Power, to be patient in times of uncertainty and to leave our worries and fears in the hands of God. This phrase has a powerful message of surrendering ourselves to the will of the universe and finding peace amidst the chaos. It reminds us to have faith in something greater than ourselves and to trust that everything happens for a reason. We often try to control every aspect of our lives, but sometimes the best thing to do is to simply wait and let things unfold as they are meant to. may God help us to wait for his right time to attend to our situation.

In our prophet speech today he makes us understand that, When we find alignment with God through waiting, our strength is renewed and we are empowered to mount up with wings as eagles above very limitation of life. Therefore Waiting unto thy Lord also implies a sense of humility and recognizing that we are not in control of everything. It teaches us to let go of our egos and surrender to a higher power, which can bring a great sense of relief and comfort in times of stress. In essence, waiting unto thy Lord means having faith in the universe and trusting that everything will work out in the end. It is a beautiful reminder to stay grounded and to approach life with calmness, patience, and an open heart. May God help us to wait for the right time ,for God’s time is the best.
