Scriptural Text:
Exodus 31:3 (NKJV).
โ And I have given him the spirit of God and made him wise and full of knowledge and expert in every sort of handworkโฆ โย
Mastery according to the Oxford Dictionary means comprehensive knowledge or skill in a particular subject or activity. It is becoming proficient or an expert in what you do.
Just like we see in our opening text, the Spirit of God can make you wise, and full of knowledge and skillfulness in your craft or business. Thus, it is worth desiring.
However, becoming a master in your field also requires diligence โ an undying commitment to becoming better, more advanced, and sufficiently equipped to solve unique problems in your field.
Mastery in your field will position you to proffer solutions to challenges that many shy away from. This will give you unmatched confidence, and a reputation that will open doors for you in high places, which is an important gateway to favour and wealth.
Therefore, do not settle for mediocrity in your field. Identify your unique skills and areas of advantage, and then work towards expertise in those areas. Never settle for mediocrity and complacency. Desire mastery in your field and do not stop until you achieve it.

Settling for mediocrity is one of the drawbacks we have in Nigeria. We mostly do not master our craft due to the mindset of just doing the craft to fend for ourselves to meet our daily needs alone. To master a craft one has to be willing to spend more money and time to acquire more skills or knowledge which in turn will make us earn more in future but not everyone has the mindset or the willingness to push further than what they already know. I pray our minds be enlightened with these words by our prophet this morning to master our craft either as a company or an individual. Lagos, Nigeria.

The Holy Spirit can help me gain mastery in my field, giving me wisdom and understanding, that however is not enough. I need to cooperate with Him by being diligent. I need to put in the time, effort and resources to ensure that I become a master at what I do. Comprehensive (including or dealing with all or nearly all elements or aspects of something) If comprehensive means dealing with all, this is to say both knowledge gained from failures in the course of learning all sums up to give one an edge over others, position him to proffer solutions to challenges that many shy away from, give him unmatched confidence because from experience he knows the possible outcome of almost every challenges, so he becomes the most sorted after in his field and gains a reputation that will open doors for him in high places, which is an important gateway to favour and wealth….so don’t waste your pain anymore, pick up the morals behind every failed attempt so you can have something (knowledge) to pass down to millions who would tow the same path.
