People fail to achieve their objectives because they have a poor strategy, or no strategy at all. A strategy, according to the Oxford dictionary, refers to a plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim. It as a detailed plan for achieving success in situations. Simply put, it is your plan to achieve your dream.
Having a good idea is not enough, because a good idea executed with a bad strategy will always fail. As we see in our scriptural text today, Joshua was not merely wishing or hoping to defeat the armies of the enemy, he had a sequence of plans, that addressed the various possible scenarios in the ensuing battle. A war is not always won by might, but strategy is key to victory.
Therefore, in the pursuit of your dream, consider your strategy. How do you intend to surmount all possible challenges in reaching your desired goal? Remember that the distinguishing factor between those who fail and those who succeed is in the quality of the strategy they employ. So, invest your time into developing a strategy that is well thought out, in alignment with Godβs Word, and utilizing the latest technology and information in your field.

Sometimes after strategizng, it seems like your plans are taking too long to manifest and you’d have the otge to make a new plan. In some cases, your plans are perfect but you have to be patient while they come to reality. Understanding that it’s not by our works but by the grace of God.

The strategist’s challenge is to simultaneously manage three critical factors: values, opportunities, and capabilities. In order to devise and execute a successful strategy, you need to analyze each of these factors to understand how your organization can create and sustain value.

What a topic… Woww sequence of plans of action. Bringing out the truth today the Prophet of God has showed me that though God has given me victory and asset i need to have a strategy. I need to realize the barriers, weaknesses of the competition and what is my best entry point. Having the requisite knowledge of the how to execute a plan set down. It is better to sit down and get the right strategy and get things done. A battle one enters with strategy will end in tragedy
Innocent Ekeleme

We meet barriers in our endeavors, a way to by-pass them is through a valid strategy. “What” is the vision, “how” is the strategy, that is the “how” to deliver the victory. The sequence of plan is important in strategy. Strategy is applying your strength at the right place, like a gap in a market,. It is important to look from the mind of your buyers, not just from my perspective. To do this, I need to do research and be through in it.

“Invest your time into developing a strategy that is well thought out, in alignment with Godβs Word, and utilizing the latest technology and information in your field.”
I love the part that says let your plans be in alignment with God’s Word. It’s in human nature to nurse ideas and make plans and execute them brilliantly. The world is filled with genius, brilliant minds, successful people, and wealthy people and so on.
As children of God we must be a people with a difference. While pursuing our goals, we must not loose sight of our “Eternal Life”.
The book of Joshua 1:8 talks about having “good success”, this is the kind of success that is achieved through Divine Guidance. A success that is in alignment with God’s Word.
As christans, while making plans, let seek the guidance of the God as Joshua did in Book of Joshua 8:1
“The Lord said to Joshua, βTake all the soldiers with you and go on up to Ai. Don’t be afraid or discouraged. I will give you victory over the king of Ai; his people, city and the land will be yours.”
