Scriptural Text: Luke 16:1-2
“And he said also unto his disciples, there was a certain rich man which had a steward, and he had wasted his goods. And he called him and said unto him, how is it that I hear this of thee? Give an account of thy stewardship, for thou might be no longer steward. ”
A manager is someone who is usually hired to increase profit and minimize waste. An effective manager is a competent steward who watches over the home, organization, state, etc., and ensures there are no losses at the end of the day. This depicts the kind of person God wants you to be.
In our scriptural text, we see that the steward failed to manage his master’s goods, and the result was the loss of his position as a ‘manager’. The amplified version of the verse puts it this way; “Turn in the account of your management for you can be [my] manager no longer”.
Every good steward is rewarded with a promotion because he that is faithful in little will also be faithful when he is placed over much. The one who has a right over you will not waste time in elevating you to a higher position when you are found faithful. In the same vein, those who are unfaithful will lose their place, like the steward in our opening scripture.
So, starting from your home, you must ensure proper management down to your workplace and other areas of your life. Being faithful is a strategic way to rise. Therefore, start from where you are now by managing faithfully all that concerns you and grow from there. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, I receive grace to become a good manager in Jesus name.
