SCRIPTURAL TEXT: Habakkuk 2:2 KJV
“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
True success is never coincidental, it happens by deliberate and conscious effort. Thus, anyone who must succeed must have definite goals and plans, and must articulate them by writing them like our opening text says.
Written goals are very important as it gives you something to keep your focus on. This helps you set the right order of priority.
Definite goals written down, also, gives you the momentum to run in the right direction and the commitment to achieve.
It is important that you do not just have a vague idea of the things you want to achieve in your mind, have them written clearly on paper. You can go ahead to put them all over you by sticking them on your walls and places you can easily see them, to serve as a constant reminder.
A wise man once said the faintest pen is more powerful than the sharpest memory. It tells the importance of having definite goals and putting them on paper.
Once you have your goals written down, take a step further by putting down courses of action on how to achieve them. This will set you on a journey to success this new year. The Lord is with you and He is working with you to bring your goals into reality. Glory to God!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, help me to have well defined goals for this year in Jesus name in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER FOR MALI
Background: Mali has 60% of its populace unreached with the Gospel. Islam is the largest religion. The Church is taking root, however, the number of Christians has not increased enough to even keep pace with Mali’s rapid population growth.
We are praying for boldness, passion, and a burden for the unsaved to awaken in the churches and for a new wave of evangelism such as happened in the 1980s.
Prayer for Leaders/nation: We pray for the President of this nation that you would grant him grace to know how to unify the country.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Psa. 122:6).
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for establishing the church in faith in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for your will that no man should perish but that all should come to repentance.
