DOMINION: GOD’S ORIGINAL DESIGN

Dominion was woven into your nature when God made you in His image and likeness. Returning to your original design is in alignment with God’s intention from the foundation of the world. Today, step into the awareness that dominion is a fundamental part of who you are in God.

Audio Version

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) – “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

From the beginning of creation, God designed you to walk in dominion as part of your identity. Dominion was woven into your nature when God made you in His image and likeness. He placed within you the capacity to rule, govern, and exercise authority over the circumstances and systems that shape your life, making dominion your birth.

Many believers have forgotten this original design and have accepted a narrative of weakness instead of the authority God declared over them. Returning to your original design is in alignment with God’s intention from the foundation of the world. Here, dominion is not selfish conquest but responsible stewardship and the exercise of influence that reflects God’s character and advances His kingdom.

Today, step into the awareness that dominion is a fundamental part of who you are in God. You were never created to be passive, powerless, or without influence in the areas God has assigned to you. Reclaim the truth that you are made in God’s image, fashioned for kingdom authority, and begin to walk confidently in the dominion that has always been yours.

Hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:

I decree that you are stepping back into your original design of dominion today! Every area that God has assigned to you is reclaimed and delivered to you. and governed by the dominion in your God-given authority, in Jesus’ name!

Section 2—Praying the Promises:

Start-Up Prayer:

Father, I thank You that I am made in Your image and after Your likeness. I declare that dominion is my original design and I step fully into the authority You have given me. I refuse to live beneath the design that God has established for me. Today I walk in the dominion that belongs to me by creation and by covenant, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Nation Focus: Democratic Republic of Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo is the second largest country in Africa by land area and home to a population of over 100 million people, making it one of the most populous nations on the continent. Christians make up approximately 95% of the population, with a significant Catholic majority and a large and growing evangelical and Pentecostal presence. Despite its extraordinary natural resources, the DRC has been afflicted by decades of conflict, political instability, extreme poverty, and one of the world’s most severe ongoing humanitarian crises, particularly in the eastern regions. Yet the Church in the DRC is a remarkable community of faith, known for its passionate worship, fervent prayer, and resilience in the face of extraordinary suffering.

Prayer for a Nation:

Father, let the believers in the DRC rise with the authority God has given them and declare the lordship of Christ over every system of oppression in their nation in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Leaders:

Father, awaken the conscience of leaders in the DRC. Let those who govern lead with integrity and justice. Let that remembrance transform the way they exercise authority in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Israel:

Father, let Israel remember its original design as a nation set apart for Your purposes. Let the nation reclaim its place of dominion and influence in the nations in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Unity in the Church:

Father, let the Church in our cities remember its original design to exercise corporate dominion. Let believers recognise the authority they carry together and exercise it in unity for the advancement of Your Kingdom in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for Souls/Revival:

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit across our cities. Draw souls from every walk of life into the light of the Gospel. Let hardened hearts be softened, blinded eyes be opened, and captives be set free by the power of Christ. We declare salvation over families, communities, and nations, and we call multitudes into Your Kingdom in Jesus’ name.
