Deuteronomy 8:10-11 (KJV) – “When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day.”
God wants your shift into abundance to be a permanent one, and that requires you to stay close to Him even when every need is met. The most dangerous spiritual season is not hardship; it is prosperity without continued dependence on God. A blessed life disconnected from the Source of the blessing is a life heading toward a quiet collapse.
Withdrawal from God in seasons of abundance always happens gradually and almost invisibly. Prayers get shorter, giving gets smaller, and spiritual disciplines get traded for comfort until the drift has gone too far to notice. Every small act of pulling back from God is loosening the foundation beneath your shift.
Today, make the decision that your abundance will deepen your devotion, not diminish it. Recommit to prayer, giving, and worship not out of obligation but as an act of love for the God who gave you everything. A heart that honours God in plenty is a heart that God trusts with even greater shifts.
Hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:
I decree that the spirit of forgetting God is broken off your life right now! Your abundance is drawing you closer to Him and not further away. You are the kind of believer who honours God in every season, in Jesus’ name!
Section 2—Praying the Promises:
Start-Up Prayer:
Father, let my abundance never make me forget You. I commit today to honour You more deeply in my plenty than I did in my lack. Keep me close to You in every season of blessing, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Nation Focus: Senegal
Senegal, on the western tip of Africa, is a nation of approximately 17 million people renowned for its democratic stability and peaceful coexistence. Around 95% of the population identifies as Muslim, with powerful Sufi brotherhoods deeply embedded in national culture and politics. Christians make up roughly 4% to 5%, and evangelical Christianity is growing slowly against significant cultural barriers. Prayer, long-term relationship building, and community service are the key strategies missionaries and local believers use to see lasting Kingdom fruit.
Prayer for a Nation:
Father, let the social reforms and generational shifts in Senegal become open doors for the Gospel. Let every window of curiosity in the culture become a gateway for Kingdom breakthrough in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Leaders:
Father, we pray for Senegal’s leaders to make decisions that lift the most vulnerable in their society. Let justice flow down like a river and let every policy reflect the dignity that God has placed in every human being in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Israel:
Lord, we bless Israel and declare that those who bless her shall be blessed. Let Your ancient covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob be honoured in every generation and let Israel be protected by Your eternal faithfulness in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Unity in the Church:
Father, let the global Church come alongside the Church in Senegal with prayer, resources, and partnership. Let the nations invest in the Kingdom work being done in this strategic Muslim-majority nation in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for Souls/Revival:
Father, let every media channel, radio broadcast, and digital platform reaching Senegal carry the life-changing truth of the Gospel. Let Your Word penetrate every screen and speaker and find the hungry hearts waiting behind them in Jesus’ name.
