Psalm 40:8 (KJV) – I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
Service done from obligation quickly grows weary; service done from delight never tires. David’s cry, “I delight to do thy will,” captures the heart of a servant who finds joy in obedience. When God’s law is written in the heart, serving becomes worship and not a burden.
Delight in service is a spiritual atmosphere we cultivate: it grows as we feast on God’s presence, meditate on His goodness, and practise small acts of kindness until they become reflexive expressions of love. Delight is the fuel that turns routine ministry into radiant ministry.
Today, ask the Lord to renew your joy in serving. Let gratitude and wonder shape your attitude so that every task, however small, is done with excellence and praise. As you serve with delight, your life will release a fragrance that draws others to Jesus and ushers in fresh glory.
What a powerful time in God’s Word today! As you go forth, hold on to this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:
I declare that your heart will be refreshed with holy delight. Service will become your delight, doors will open to fruitfulness, and your labour will be seasoned with joy and divine favour. Amen

Father, in the name of Jesus, fill my heart with delight to do Your will. Replace duty with delight, and let my service be an act of worship that blesses You and blesses others.
Nation Focus: Kuwait
Christianity in Kuwait forms a small minority within a predominantly Muslim society. As of 2024, Christians make up about 10–12% of the population, mostly foreign workers from the Philippines, India, and Africa, with only a few hundred Kuwaiti nationals identifying as Christian. Evangelism is prohibited, often leading converts to practice their faith privately. Christians face ongoing challenges including limited worship spaces, and social pressures against public religious expression.
Prayer for a Nation – Kuwait
Father, in the name of Jesus, strengthen believers in Kuwait. Give them joy to serve, protection from harm, and open doors for the gospel to move with power. Grant peace and justice across the land.
Prayer for Leaders
Father, in the name of Jesus, anoint leaders with wisdom, compassion, and a heart for unity. Guide their decisions toward fairness and peace, and protect vulnerable communities.
Prayer for Israel
Father, in the name of Jesus, bless Israel with Your presence and peace. Uphold her and fulfil Your purposes in that land.
Prayer for Unity in the Church
Father, in the name of Jesus, remove every spirit of division and self-interest from Your Church. Let joy and mutual service mark our fellowship so the world may see Your love.
Prayer for Souls / Revival
Father, in the name of Jesus, let lives be awakened by the sight of servant-hearts. Send revival that begins with delight in serving and ends with many souls drawn to Christ.
