YIELDED FOR GOD’S USE

Many believers experience this tension, loving God sincerely, but still fighting to stay aligned with His will, hence the need to stay yielded to Him. Yielding yourself to God is not an automatic response, as many might think. It begins as a posture of the heart, but it must also grow into a daily discipline.

Audio Version

Romans 6:13 (KJV)-  “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Have you ever found yourself wanting to please God, yet struggling with the same things you thought you had overcome? You know what is right, but sometimes your choices or reactions don’t match your intentions. It can feel like there’s a gap between your love for God and the life you’re actually living. Many believers experience this tension, loving God sincerely, but still fighting to stay aligned with His will, hence the need to stay yielded to Him.

Yielding yourself to God is not an automatic response, as many might think. It begins as a posture of the heart, but it must also grow into a daily discipline. It is surrendering your choices to God and intentionally saying no to anything that opposes His will. This can mean walking away from environments that sabotage your relationship with Him, ending habits that make you vulnerable to sin, or separating yourself from influences that dull your sensitivity to His voice.

When you choose to yield, you give God full access to your life. His power begins to work through you in ways you could never make happen on your own. Each time you obey His voice instead of your feelings, you show that your life truly belongs to Him. The parts of your life that once struggled under weakness become instruments of victory in His hands. This is how real change happens; not by trying harder, but by yielding more, until your life itself becomes a testimony of His grace.

Start by letting God have a say in your daily decisions — what you do with your body, your money, or even your relationships. Allow His Word to shape your values and His Spirit to guide your choices. When you make room for His leading in every area of your life, your actions begin to reflect His will, and your life becomes a true instrument of His righteousness, bringing glory to His name. Hallelujah!

What a glorious time in God’s Word today! As you step out, carry this declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth with you:

“I declare that your life is yielded to the will of God, and through you, His righteousness and glory will fill the earth!”
