FIGHTING FOR ETERNAL LIFE

Nothing in the kingdom of God manifests by chance or with time; it requires a fight of faith. Believers who do not have this understanding, will find themselves living in frustration. Though God has spoken, it will not come to pass in our lives until we develop the faith to lay hold of these promises. Press into the Word until faith rises in you to take possession of every promise.

Audio Version

1 Timothy 6:12 (KJV) – “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

Every promise of eternal life that God has given us—provision, safety, peace, health, and victory—is received by faith.  Nothing in the kingdom of God manifests by chance or with time; it requires a fight of faith.

Believers who do not have this understanding, will find themselves living in frustration. They know God’s Word, they hear His promises, yet they do not see them manifest. Though God has spoken, it will not come to pass in our lives until we develop the faith to lay hold of these promises. There is no miracle, blessing or testimony that is beyond the realm of faith. This is why our pursuit should be to understand how faith works and to practice it daily in every area of our lives.

This faith comes by the Word of God and when you give yourself to read and meditate on the Word, you are arming yourself for victory. The Word builds in you the faith to reach out and receive all that God has provided. With faith, you rise above limitations, you achieve what seemed impossible, and you enjoy the fullness of God’s provision.

So, no matter the opposition you face today, do not settle for less when Christ has given you more. Press into the Word until faith rises in you to take possession of every promise. Do not give up!

Today’s devotional reminds us to fight the good fight of faith, so now receive this prophetic declaration from Prophet Isaiah Macwealth:

I decree that every promise of God for your life comes into manifestation in the name of Jesus name.

SECTION 2: PRAYING THE PROMISES

Welcome to today’s Praying the Promises. If you have not read today’s devotional, you can scroll upwards to read it now.

Let us now pray in line with today’s devotional.

Start-up Prayer

Father in the name of Jesus, help me to stand firm in faith and lay hold of every promise of eternal life You have spoken over me in Jesus name.

Join me as we now pray for a nation in need.

Nation Focus: Iceland

Iceland, an island nation in the North Atlantic, is known for its breathtaking landscapes and high standard of living. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iceland remains the largest religious body, but surveys reveal that a growing number of citizens identify as non-religious or atheist. While life satisfaction rates are high, spiritual engagement is low, with many disconnected from biblical truth. Still, there are small but vibrant Christian communities seeking God for change. Iceland needs a move of God that restores biblical faith, and transforms the nation from the inside out.

Prayer for the Nation
O Lord, let Your light and truth shine upon Iceland, reviving hearts and restoring the nation to You.

Prayer for the Leaders
Father in the name of Jesus, strengthen the leaders of Iceland with courage to uphold justice and truth.

Prayer for Israel
Lord, we pray for the peace of Israel; let Your protection and presence rest upon Israel.

Prayer for Unity in the Church
Lord, make us of one heart and one mind, that the world may see Christ in our unity.

Prayer for Souls / Revival
Heavenly Father, we pray for a touch of Revival over nations who have lost their faith and hope in you.
