Audio Version
1 Samuel 17:47 (KJV) – “The battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.”
Your victory over the enemy is not dependent on you but on God. Our opening text reminds us that it is He who will fight for us and subdue our enemies under us. This is not a call to complacency but a call to advance in battle with total dependence on the lord. In other words, you are to step out in faith but trust him for the victory.
David stood before the mighty Goliath in battle not relying on his strength, his weapons, or his experience. His confidence was in God, and he declared boldly that the Lord would deliver victory. And with just a sling and stone, he brought down the mighty goliath. Thus, the issue is not how big the challenge is, or the quality of your weaponry but who fights for you- it is God who fights for you.
Whatever giant stands before you—whether lack, fear, sickness, delay, or opposition will not overcome you if you advance with this understanding. You were never designed to fight with your own strength or ability. The battle Is not yours. That is why God has given you His power as your advantage, His Word as your weapon, and His presence as your confidence.
This must be your confession “I will not fear, I will not retreat, I will not be shaken. The battle is the Lord’s, and in His power, I win!” Your part is to believe, to stand firm, and to declare His Word. God’s part is to deliver the victory and He never fails. Therefore, lift your head high, walk in boldness, and face every challenge with confidence. The Lord will fight for you and give you the victory.
