TRANSFORMED BY THE WORD

Sanctification means being set apart—kept untouched by the corruption around you. One major tool that can do this is the Word of God. The Word is the agent of separation; it will cut off what defiles you and preserve what defines you. Today, meditate on the Word until it rewrites your responses to temptation

Audio Version

John 17:17 – “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

Every day, the world tries to sway us with messages that blur the lines between right and wrong, making settling for less seem okay. Slowly, the believer who was once on fire begins to justify sin, accept half-truths, and live by opinions instead of God’s standards.

In our opening text today, Jesus did not ask the Father to take us out of the world, but to sanctify us in it. Sanctification means being set apart—kept untouched by the corruption around you. And one major tool that can do this is the Word of God. The Word is the agent of separation; it will cut off what defiles you and preserve what defines you.

When you submit your heart to the truth of Scripture, it cleanses your thoughts, filters your desires, and gives you the backbone to stand where others fall. The Word does not merely inform—it transforms. It is our advantage in this failing world.

Today, make the Word your daily bath. Soak in it until it confronts the hidden compromises in your life. Speak it aloud over your mind until wrong thinking breaks. Meditate on it until it rewrites your responses to temptation. Refuse to live on yesterday’s truth; let fresh truth sanctify you every day. Glory to God!

Nation Focus: Greece

Greece, known as the cradle of Western civilization, is rich in ancient history and philosophical heritage. Though the Greek Orthodox Church remains dominant, many have drifted into formalism, with true spiritual hunger buried beneath tradition and intellectualism. Apathy toward the Gospel persists among the youth, while materialism and secularism grow. Yet, hidden pockets of believers are crying out for revival. Greece stands at a spiritual crossroads — it must return to the fear of the Lord and embrace the truth in Christ Jesus.

Prayer for the Nation

Father, we declare that Greece will not remain bound by lifeless religion or hollow tradition. Let every veil be torn, and let truth shine forth. Raise bold witnesses who will preach Christ with power.

Prayer for the Leaders

Lord, visit the leaders of Greece with Your wisdom. Let those in authority walk humbly and make decisions that honour righteousness and justice.

Prayer for Israel

We bless Israel today with peace and protection. Let the counsel of the Lord stand in Jerusalem, and may her watchmen not be silent.

Prayer for Unity in the Church

Father, we pray that churches in every nation will rise above division. Let the spirit of brotherhood prevail, and may we be one body with one voice in Christ.

Prayer for Souls / Revival

We declare a harvest of souls across our cities. Let resistance be broken, and let the knowledge of Christ flood every heart.
