SEEK UNDERSTANDING

Understanding is not just about knowing facts or information; it's about possessing insight into the inner workings of a thing or subject. Without understanding, we may stumble upon success by chance, but we will not be able to replicate it. The good news is that we can ask the Lord for understanding, and He will grant it to us.

Audio Version

Psalm 119:169 – “Let my cry come before You, O Lord; give me understanding according to Your word.”

Many begin their journey with zeal and enthusiasm, but soon lose direction and momentum because they lack understanding. While knowledge and wisdom are essential, understanding is what truly sets us apart. Understanding is not just about knowing facts or information; it’s about possessing insight into the inner workings of a thing or subject. It’s the ability to see beyond the surface level and grasp the underlying principles and mechanisms that drive success in any pursuit or endeavour. This is what makes success or results consistent.

Without understanding, we may stumble upon success by chance, but we will not be able to replicate it. The good news is that we can ask the Lord for understanding, and He will grant it to us. His Word is full of wisdom and insight, and when we seek Him, He will reveal the secrets to us. You may struggle to make sense of certain situations or experiences, but when God reveals His perspective, everything becomes clear. And when that understanding comes, it will separate you from the crowd and cause you to walk in step with His will.

So, in this season, do not just cry out for grace to pray and fast. Cry out for the light of understanding.  Ask God to reveal the secrets of any area of concern to you, and He will give you the insight you need to achieve your goals. This is the key to consistent results, and it is available to all who seek it. Glory to God.

Start-up Prayer:

Father, as I consecrate myself to You, give me understanding according to Your Word. Let my heart perceive Your instructions clearly, and let my steps follow Your will without distraction, in Jesus’ name.

Nation Focus: Gabon

Gabon, located on Central Africa’s west coast, is rich in natural resources and known for its political stability compared to neighbouring nations. While the country has enjoyed relative peace, many still struggle with poverty, inequality, and limited opportunities. The Church has influence, but spiritual lukewarmness and shallow faith are common. There is a need for discipleship, and a move of the Spirit that brings lasting transformation to families and communities.

Prayer for the Nation

Father, strengthen the Church in Gabon. Let pastors, leaders, and believers be filled with boldness, truth, and love to disciple the nation.

Prayer for the Leaders

Lord, protect Gabon’s leaders from harm and distraction. Strengthen them to resist evil influences and remain focused on justice and peace

Prayer for Israel

Father, we cover Israel with Your peace and protection. Let Your covenant be their shield in every circumstance

Prayer for Unity in the Church

Oh Lord, expose and still every storm in the Body of Christ.  Cause unity and selfless love to flow freely among your people.

Prayer for Souls / Revival
Father, in the name of Jesus, grant every lost soul true sorrow for sin and the grace to turn from sin. In the name of Jesus.
