FLEE FROM SIN

Our lives should be a reflection of His love, mercy, and righteousness. To continue in sin while carrying His name is to invite contradiction in your spiritual identity. You are not alone in your struggles, God is always there to help you.

Audio Version

2 Timothy 2:19 (KJV) – Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” – 2 Timothy 2:19

As children of God, we are called to live a life that reflects His character and holiness. We are expected to live a life that is distinct from the world. Our lives should be a reflection of His love, mercy, and righteousness. To continue in sin while carrying His name is to invite contradiction in your spiritual identity.  Also, continuing in sin not only brings shame to His name but also hinders our fellowship with Him. This is why we ought to strive to live a life that is worthy of our calling by fleeing from sin.

This requires a conscious decision to turn away from anything that displeases God and to shun all forms of sin and unrighteousness. However, when we flee from sin, we must flee towards righteousness. This is making a daily commitment to doing only that which pleases the Lord.

Today, if you are struggling with sin, remember that God’s grace is available to help you overcome. God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  Turn away from sin and flee towards righteousness. Turn to the word, give yourself to fasting and prayer and prioritize fellowship with the brethren. Flee from sin and walk in the light of His presence. You are not alone in your struggles, God is always there to help you. With His strength, you can overcome and experience freedom and victory in Christ. Hallelujah!

Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive fresh grace to pursue intimacy with You. Let Your Word purify my desires, and Your Spirit empower me to walk in holiness daily
Nation Focus: Gabon

Gabon, located on Central Africa’s west coast, is rich in natural resources and known for its political stability compared to neighbouring nations. While the country has enjoyed relative peace, many still struggle with poverty, inequality, and limited opportunities. The Church has influence, but spiritual lukewarmness and shallow faith are common. There is a need for discipleship, and a move of the Spirit that brings lasting transformation to families and communities.

Prayer for the Nation

Father, let the resources of Gabon be used with wisdom and fairness. Raise up godly reformers who will build the economy and serve the people with integrity.

Prayer for the Leaders
Father, let the leaders of Gabon have personal encounters with You. Open their hearts to the gospel and let them lead by the light of Your truth.

Prayer for Israel
Father, We declare peace over your city, Jerusalem and pray for wisdom for her leaders.

Prayer for Unity in the Church

Oh Lord, expose and still every storm in the Body of Christ.  Cause unity and selfless love to flow freely among your people.

Prayer for Souls / Revival
Father, in the name of Jesus, We decree that every storm of rebellion is silenced in our cities. Let the hearts of many yield and turn to Christ.
