HONOUR GOD IN YOUR WORK

The consecrated life is not limited to church activities. When your work is excellent, your conduct pure, and your speech seasoned, your life becomes a testimony of Christ’s nature. Today, bring your work under the Lordship of Christ.

Colossians 3:17 – “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus…”

The call to consecration does not stop at the altar—it follows you to your desk, your meetings, your messages, your handling of people and money. It is calling to do all in the name of the Lord. To do all “in the name of the Lord Jesus” is not a closing phrase for a prayer; it is a command to live consciously under His authority in every action. Whether in speech or in service, your daily output should carry the signature of Christ.

The consecrated life is not limited to church activities—it is most visible in your unseen habits. When you overpromise and underdeliver, when you gossip or cut corners, when you do the bare minimum—it dishonours the name you carry. But when your work is excellent, your conduct pure, and your speech seasoned, your life becomes a testimony of Christ’s nature.

There is no spiritual maturity where there is professional carelessness. There is no holiness in hiding behind worship while neglecting excellence. If Christ truly owns you, He must also own your work ethic because every act can either glorify Him or misrepresent Him.

Today, bring your work under the Lordship of Christ. Repent of divided living. Choose to represent Jesus in every task, every conversation, every delivery. Whether you sweep a floor or lead a boardroom, do it as one who carries the name of the King. That is consecration—and that is honour.
