Devotional Text
Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
Before you were born, God had a purpose for your life. The Prophet Jeremiah in our opening scripture was still in his mother’s womb when God sanctified and ordained him to be a Prophet in Israel. This truth applies to every believer, regardless of the circumstances surrounding your conception; you are not an accident. God set you apart for His purpose even before you took your first breath. You are sanctified unto Him, chosen to fulfill a unique assignment on the earth.
To be sanctified means to be set apart for God’s use. It is not just about living an upright life but about recognizing that your life belongs to God. The world may try to define your identity based on culture, achievements, or circumstances, but your true identity is found in Christ. You are a vessel in God’s hands, created to bring Him glory and to walk in His will (2 Timothy 2:21, 1 Peter 2:9). When you understand this, you will no longer live carelessly but will embrace the calling to be different, holy, and fully yielded to God’s purpose for your life.
Make a conscious decision today to live as one set apart for God. Reject anything that contradicts His purpose for your life and choose to walk in obedience to His Word. The more you surrender to Him, the more you will experience His power, favour, and direction. You are sanctified unto God so, walk boldly in that calling (Romans 12:1-2, John 17:17). Hallelujah!

PRAYER FOR A NATION
CHILE
Catholicism was disestablished as the state church in 1925, however, its influence is still strong, and 70% of people identify with the faith. Despite this, only 13% of Catholics regularly attend mass, and the society is moving further from traditions of the past. Social mores in areas such as divorce and cohabitation are becoming increasingly liberal, while crime, drug abuse, and materialism are also on the rise.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray for the believers in the land. Cause them to be worthy representatives of your love and compassion, that they may humbly and lovingly represent Christ despite any pervasive stigma against Christians, in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, we ask that you expose corruption where it exists, and strengthen the legal system to protect the rights of the vulnerable and oppressed, in Jesus’ name.
