- Proverbs 22:3 “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.”Foresight is the ability to anticipate and prepare for what lies ahead. As seen in our scriptural text, a prudent person does not wait for trouble to strike before taking action but looks ahead and makes plans to cushion the outcome of certain expected uncertainties.God expects us to develop foresight in every area of our lives—spiritually, financially, through our daily decisions. Those who seek His wisdom are not caught off guard by challenges because they walk in divine insight. While the foolish ignore warning signs, the wise prepare and position themselves for success.
However, developing foresight requires prayer, wisdom, and careful observation. Do not live reactively, instead, seek God’s direction, plan wisely, and take steps today that will lead you into God’s promise. Hallelujah!
STARTUP PRAYER
Father in the name of Jesus, I thank You for the gift of foresight, I ask for the grace to obey Your leading that I may come into Your promises for me in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION:
COSTA RICA
Catholicism has long been a part of Costa Rican culture and with a charismatic renewal, mass attendance and the number of practicing Catholics is increasing. Today, churches in Costa Rica are confronted with how to minister to the Nicaraguan refugees. A long-standing battle with cults and spiritist groups is challenging the church as well.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, strengthen the churches in Costa Rica and let them be grounded in truth and empowered to disciple the nation in Jesus’ name
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that the leaders will be surrounded by wise and God-fearing advisors who will guide them in making righteous decisions in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, in the name of Jesus, let peace reign within the borders of Israel and let their enemies bow before them in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that the church all around the word will walk in forgiveness and understanding that we may reach many more with the Gospel.
PRAYER FOR SOULS/REVIVAL
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit across the land and let the fire of revival spread through churches, homes, and communities, in Jesus’ name.
