Devotional Text
Psalm 32:8 -“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
While growing up, did you ever feel like your parents were too “nosy” and controlling? You are not alone, I felt that way too. But have you tried to consider how your life would have turned out without their guidance? As a child of God, He treats you the same way; His eyes are constantly on you, guiding you in the path He destined for you. God does not expect you to figure things out on your own, our opening scripture assures us of his promise to instruct, teach, and guide us in the way we should go. This means that He is personally invested in leading you toward His perfect will for your life.
Being led by the Lord requires trust and total surrender to His will. His guidance often comes through His Word, His Spirit in you, and the peace He places in your heart that makes you know you are on track (Isaiah 30:21). Ignoring His leading can result in unnecessary struggles, but when you yield to His instructions, He will you protect you from costly mistakes and position you for success. Hallelujah!
Make it a habit to seek God’s direction daily. Spend time in prayer, meditate on His Word, and listen for His voice. When you follow His leading, you will walk in wisdom, avoid pitfalls, and experience His best for your life. Hallelujah!
START-UP PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, help me to be totally submitted to Your authority in my life. Cause my ears to hear Your voice, and my eyes to see where You want me to go, that I may enter into my inheritance, in Jesus’ Name.
PRAYER FOR A NATION
CHILE
Catholicism was disestablished as the state church in 1925, however its influence is still strong, and 70% of people identify with the faith. Despite this, only 13% of Catholics regularly attend mass, and the society is moving further from traditions of the past. Social mores in areas such as divorce and cohabitation are becoming increasingly liberal, while crime, drug abuse, and materialism are also on the rise.
PRAYER FOR THE NATION
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come against every strategy of the devil to turn the hearts of the people from God. We decree that their plans are completely destroyed today in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we pray against division in the leadership of this nation, and we ask that you will give them the heart to work cooperatively so that your will be established in this land in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, in the Name of Jesus, continue to draw the Jewish people to You according to Your sovereign plan.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Oh Lord, in the name of Jesus we pray for a Holy Fear of the Lord to rest upon the church, that believers in the Body will seek to please you above all things, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we ask for Your holy fear to rest upon the unsaved souls, so that they would be able to deny the flesh and turn fully to the You, in Jesus Name.
